Richards Completes Walsall Move

Walsall have completed the signing of Matt Richards after a trial. The 24-year-old Town academy product was released at the end of the season and has signed a two-year deal at the Bescot Stadium.

Saddlers manager Chris Hutchings said: "Matt is an accomplished player. He comes here at the right age and has good experience at the higher level.

"He can play wide left or in the middle and will add a calmness to the side. As a natural left-footer he gives us nice balance and is a footballer of undoubted ability."

samassiabou added 17:46 - Aug 4 best of luck matt, one of the few itfc players who touched my heart. RK should have at least given him a 1 year contract to give him a chance. Just like jordan rhodes he was dismissed without a second thought. Relegation here we come unless keane leaves by christmas.
