Midfielder Luciano Civelli is hoping to be back in action before Christmas. The Argentinian has been out of action since March after damaging his cruciate and medial knee ligaments.

Civelli told the club site: "I am getting there but I know there is still a lot more work to do.

"The injury was very hard to take at first. It's the first time I have been out for so long but you get a lift each time you get to the next stage and now I'm waiting to see the specialist, then hopefully I can move on again.

"The surgeon said that I would be out for maybe nine months and that is around Christmas, but I'm hoping to be back before then."

Civelli made eight appearances for the Blues last season having signed from Argentinian side Banfield for £1.1 million in January.

If miracles were to happen and we get a 20 gaol a season striker, who drops out? Stead presumably, Priskin seems out of favour so it would have to be Pablo or Walters to make way. Would not anyone have Walters at Right midfield rather than Edwards.
