Leicester Confident Game Will Go Ahead
Leicester Confident Game Will Go Ahead
Thursday, 7th Jan 2010 09:04

Leicester City are confident that Sunday’s game at the Walkers Stadium will go ahead despite the snow and ice. The pitch should be fine as the Foxes have undersoil heating, while they are working on ensuring that the stands and roads and car parks around the ground are free of ice and snow.

Leicester’s head of operations Kevin Barclay said: "At the moment, the stands are free of water and we have got grit ready to be deployed if necessary and personnel available to carry out the work. We are prepared and ready."

Meanwhile, the Foxes are hoping that former Blue Wayne Brown and Swiss defender Bruno Berner will be back from injury in time to face Town. Brown has been suffering with a muscle strain, while Berner has a calf problem.

nobody will be able to get there anyway as this country cant deal with anything whatsoever, except sending pointless reporters to talk drivel about anything

No its not on sky , n its on a sunday becasue of the rugby on satuday as they couldnt have 4 sets of fans in the city at the same time too much for police to deal with so we have been put back till Sunday !

Great news for me as it will be my first LEAGUE away game ever , looking forward to it .. COYB !!!!

Clubs are always 'confident' that their games will go ahead... ...until they have to postpone them!

I hope Leicester are prepared to refund Ipswich fans their money back if we can't get there. It maybe alright for the locals, but what use is a snow free pitch to us if we are able to travel.

Previously with refunds Bowden would pay out of his back pocket and get a refund to the club but its the Evans era now alas. Aaah those were good times. He even offered to pay for a train ticket for those who had to get a new train ticket when the Burnley game got delayed from the parachuters last season
