Defender Tommy Smith has been named in the New Zealand squad for their friendlies with Honduras and Paraguay in October. The 20-year-old has won seven full caps and played in the All Whites’ three games at the World Cup in South Africa.

New Zealand take on Honduras at a venue yet to be confirmed on October 9th, then Paraguay at the Westpac Stadium, Wellington three days later.

Smith could be a doubt for the Championship home game with Coventry on October 16th as he is only expected back from New Zealand the previous day.

Occasional pain but we should have enough coverage baring more injuries in that position. Whats happening with Leadbitter..... must be a reason we've heard nought?
