Town’s reserves beat Crystal Palace 2-0 in a behind closed doors friendly at Playford Road yesterday. Colin Healy and Tamás Priskin netted the goals.

The Blues, who netted a goal in either half, fielded a mixture of youth and experience with the likes of Healy, Priskin, who is being targeted by Swansea, and Luciano Civelli joined by Reggie Lambe, Conor Hourihane, Ronan Murray, Jack Ainsley and academy youngsters Joe Whight and Josh Meekings.

The Palace side included defender Claude Davis, red-carded against Town in the league fixture at Selhurst Park earlier in the season.

Chris Kiwomya’s second string’s next scheduled Totesport.com Football Combination East Division match isn’t until February 9th when they travel to face Oxford United. Town currently sit bottom of the table.

Reserves: Lee-Barrett, Ainsley, Whight, Hourihane (Cawley 80), Meekings, Eastman, Clark (Lambe 46), Healy (c), Murray, Priskin and Civelli. Unused: McLoughlin.

That would be the same Paul Jewell who went nearly 30 games in the prem with Derby without a win before getting the long overdue sack then

That's Priskin out of the running for the First Team - had he had a howler he would have been in for a definite recall. How sad is that ? - and of course it would not be the case ANYWHERE other than here. I wonder why ???......... could it be something to do with the Manager ??

I feel sorry for Priskin - what more can he do at this club ?

Some short memories here, just what has Priskin achieved, he's a lazy player and not the answer to our problems, not sure what is, but we cannot make a chance let alone score a goal, so not likely to win anytime soon.

By the end of the month we will be down with the bottom 3.

Civelli played for 90 minutes - amazing. Watch out for him at Chelsea on Sunday.
