Final Games Switch to Saturday Friday, 25th Feb 2011 10:56
The Football League has switched all the final day Championship games to Saturday 7th May with 12.45pm kick-offs. The Blues were originally down to travel to Leicester the following day with the match due to start at 3pm.
The games have been switched “after consultation with Sky Sports, the BBC and the clubs involved” with a number of matches set to broadcast as the season comes to an end with promotion, play-off and relegation issues all still possibly up in the air by that time.
Meanwhile, fans are reminded that Town’s home match against Reading, scheduled for Tuesday 8th March, could be postponed if the Royals draw their FA Cup fifth round tie against Everton at Goodison Park on Tuesday 1st March. If a replay is required it would be played on day of the Town game.

Great ! - as it's the last game we've got a whole bus going up for the weekend so that's totally messed up now. Moving 12 matches in one go should be done at the beginning of the season ! Then again I don't know why anyone is surprised - they gave up considering people who actually GO TO THE GAMES years ago.

We've got a hotel booked for the Saturday hoping for a booze up in Leicester the night before the game. Now it will be after the game. Not a huge issue but our travel back on Sunday is now unecessarily late when we could actually head back in the morning and our travel there on the Saturday wont get us there in time for kick off now (get in to Leicester at about 3). So we all (8 of us) need to but another single to Leicester leaving early Saturday morning. This is the problem with bringing women to football, they're so bloody organised. If i had it my way we wouldn't have been booking our train tickets until we got the the station in the morning. Bloody women and football league.

Clive_Baker, you get good deals if you book ahead. I booked cheap train tickets from Elgin to Newcastle last season, but because of the volcanic ash cloud I was sat in swimming pool Goa while the match was taking place. Swings and roundabouts!

Great, that's messed up our weekender! Already book into Travelodge at Leicester on Saturday night. Was meant to be watching Exeter play at Sheffield Wednesday on the Saturday. Then staying at Leicester to watch Ipswich the next day before driving back to Devon.
