Midfielder Clark Released
Midfielder Clark Released
Wednesday, 6th Apr 2011 22:11

Midfielder Billy Clark has been told he will not be offered a new contract by Town at the end of the season. The 19-year-old came through the Blues academy before signing a one-year professional deal last summer.

Clark made three sub appearances for the first team late last season, but failed to break into the senior side during 2010/11.

The former Northgate High School pupil is the second of the 11 out-of-contract first and second-year pros to be released, Irish keeper Ian McLoughlin having been told that he will not be offered new terms earlier in the week.

Interesting that he "tweets", 'I'm glad to be out of there'.
Perhaps hes going to join Palace and then he will be Glad all over!

Shame. Certainly had promise. Still I am sure PJ knows what he is doing ...

Average player, watched him in reserves, another one of Keane's spots so Jewell knows best!

On his Facebook he says "he has no real friends in football" and that you get "stabbed in the back"

So with his Twitter comments, i dont think Billy is very happy about this and doesnt seem to be dealt with very well.

Its a bit of a shame because i was in the same year as Billy in primary and high school and always thought hed make it to the big time. Although i taught him most of what he knows in school playground, so its a bit of a kick in the teeth for me . . . . . . . . .

Need to lose numbers I'm afraid, especially if we want to add players for next year.

Agree with earlier post by BergholtBlue the lack of quality reserve team football is hampering our young players development. Can't believe Mr Sheepshanks with all his FA contacts can't get something done.
Needs sorting!
