Murray Returning to Town Sunday, 24th Apr 2011 13:57
Town have recalled striker Ronan Murray from his loan spell at Torquay United. Murray has been with the Gulls since March 9th, scoring one goal in four starts and three sub appearances.
The Blues insisted on a 24-hour recall clause in the loan deal, available after the first month of the Republic of Ireland U21 international’s spell at Plainmoor.
Town have been short of strikers since loaning the 19-year-old to Torquay and Tamás Priskin to Monday’s opponents Swansea, while Jason Scotland has failed to impress in their absence. The frontman will go straight into the squad for the visit to the Liberty Stadium.
Murray has been offered a new one-year contract by Town with his current terms up this summer.

Connor Wickham was seen up Ipswich hospital today for scan on leg, quite possibly injured in training today. He was seen with the physio. This recall then makes sense. Results are not known from the hospital, but you can probably guarantee it is not good!! Source is 100%

tractorboy2434, im sick of all these negative comments... i agree ive been gutted since the derby. There is no way swansea will turn us over like norwich did, it was a freak result and game imo. Just look back 6 months ago and look at the change of the whole club. im not just talking about 1st team results... but reserves, u18 and employing decent staff, after keane sacked anyone who would stand up agaisnt him lol Anyway, IF Wickham is injured then its not the end of the worl.. only 3 games left just as long as its not months or anything crazy... ITFC are in transnasional period of the club... tbh i wouldnt careless if we lost 5-0 for the last 3 games, if it makes us better and asks questions to our current players. So Jewell can clear the dead wood and rebuild. My rant... COYB!

Honestly can't believe how some people's opinions on here change with the wind. When Murray went out on loan, people on here complained that he was "the most natural finisher at the club". Now when he returns, people complain that "they can t see any good coming from it". I agree with those saying give the lad a chance; he has everything to prove and we have nothing to lose as a club. I think one thing we pretty much all agree on is that, love him or hate him, Priskin should have been the one to stay and let Scotland have his move back to his beloved Swans. (although agent Tamas did slot one home against the budgies - cheers mate!!)

People whinge when we sent him out on loan, then whinge when he's called back. Some people just like whinging, clearly. My only whinge would be the lack of action for o'connor and peters, but Jewell sees them every day in training so maybe they've gone off the boil.

No problem with Murray playing, I do have a problem with playing those who refuse to sign a contract, the time has come to leave them on the bench, give Peters, O'Connor and Drury a run as well, Norris and Co contribute very little.

@ blues1 - only saying he was up the hospital in the morning with physio. No rumours from me, what is the point in that. Perhaps he was getting a medical for onward sale!!
