Town Without Wickham and Bullard
Town Without Wickham and Bullard
Monday, 25th Apr 2011 14:24

Town are without both Connor Wickham and Jimmy Bullard for today's game at Swansea. Andy Drury and Colin Healy come into an otherwise unchanged side.

Wickham, who picked up a rib injury on Thursday, stayed behind in Suffolk while Bullard made the trip but like the 18-year-old misses the game, due to a shoulder injury.

Returning loanee Ronan Murray is amongst the subs along with Mark Kennedy, who is back from his hamstring injury.

Arran Lee-Barrett keeps his place in goal with Márton Fülöp on the bench, despite Paul Jewell stating his intention to give Brian Murphy a game before the end of the season.

Murphy, who has been out of action since Christmas due to a broken ankle, is likely to be in the reserves side in action at Luton on Tuesday.

Town: Lee-Barrett, Edwards, O'Dea, McAuley, Delaney, Healy, Leadbitter, Norris, Carson, Drury, Scotland. Subs: Peters, Hyam, Fülöp, Brown, Civelli, Murray, Kennedy.

Can i plz just say that everyone on this website who continiully bad mouths Norris really annoys me. I mean i'm not a massive fan of Norris, and i don't particulary think he's a great leader in the team. Howerver, he tries so bloody hard on the pitch, he's not a Rio Ferninand or Cesc Fabregas but he tries and he leads by example with the amount of effort he puts in week in week out.
Your right in thinking he's not going to be the one to lead us to promotion but at least unlike the other 8 players on the pitch excluding a couple of players actually has consistency with his extreme effort on the field. He shouldn't be Captian but he should stay and be more credited for his performances.
As for PJ i think its great we have him as Manager i think he will try his best and even if he doesn't take us to the Premier League it doesn't look like he will do worse then one of the most frustrating managers we've ever had AKA Roy bloody Keane!

Re Lovetown I'm sure a lot of us on here could get on the pitch and "try" but its people who can actually play that we need!

Surgery: Yeah i no and it wouldn't actually be a big loss if he went but people always badmouth him you should give him more credit. And i would also like to point out that with our performances this season it makes his effort more creditable i'd like to see alot of people out there every week trying like he does when you have a manger like we had and when we have a complete joke of an attack!

"The players won't hold the club to ransome" it looks as though they are and as for the season ticket deadline, a big mistake!

Lovetown, you are absolutely right Norris is not a leader or a good example to the rest of the team 12 yellow cards says it all. Also don't understand why PJ like several previous Town managers persists with putting square pegs into round holes O'Dear centre half not full back,Drury not a wide man try Peters or Civelli, and Scotland sure is not a lone striker athough saying that suppose his hands were tied on this one due to the fact he was our only senior striker available due to the fact that Priskin was on loan. For goodness sake play Murphy in goal for the 2 remaining games and put round pegs in round holes!

village blue Scotland is not a striker, not a midfielder, not a defender. He's nothing he's a useless piece of crap! It makes me wonder why the hell mangers keeps putting him on! Especially up the field by himself. The opposing defenders can eat him for breakfast all day! He DEFENITLY needs to go in the side!

Looks like Elvin King of the EADT needs to go back to school and complete a coruse in math.....as I believe 5+4 = 9.....

The headline online on his report says....

Ipswich concede seven goals over horrendous Easter programme

correction to my last comment " To go in the summer!"

even worse you read through his report....and you get....

Substitute Scott Sinclair added a fourth goal in the 71st minute from the penalty spot as sad Ipswich conceded five goals over a dreadful Easter period....

So what was it 5, 7 or 9......

Its all very well for PJ to come out and say that hes identified the areas that need strenghtening in the Summer, but who says that these chosen few selected players for said areas will actuallly be prepared to come to PR?
We seem unwilling or unable to pay the OTT wages that these people demand (or their agents tell them the're worth),and why would they want to come to a club that has underachieved for so long?As far as we are concerned, because we feel the way that we do about ITFC,we think that all of this lot must be queing up to sign on the dotted line for our club because its a privilage, when in fact half of them probably would'nt care if they were running around in Suffolk or Outer Mongolia if some club in latter paid them a bit more.
Prime examples the "Won't" sign new contracts merchants.Obviously its pure speculation about this, but if they are holding the club to ransom, let them f... off and see where they're "playing" in a couple of years probably at the likes of "Canvey Island FC" (no disrespect)

haha surgery your dead right there!! It's going to be dam hard for us to sign GOOD players in the summer because any player with a premiship career in front of them will run a mile from our club in a second! thats unless like what surgery said we'll pay'em like 100 grand a week!

Trust what bluelady says, woopit was all over this site in the months until Keane was sacked and then went quiet for several months, and is now starting to stir after several poor results.

Don't respond to him, it only gives him encouragement.
