Chopra Could Be Back at Brighton Monday, 1st Oct 2012 10:30 Striker Michael Chopra could be back in the Town side when the Blues take on Brighton at the Amex Stadium on Tuesday. Midfielder Luke Hyam remains a doubt with a back problem.
Assistant manager Chris Hutchings, who took this morning’s press conference with manager Paul Jewell having stayed at his home in Yorkshire after the Barnsley game but now back at the club, says Chopra is making good progress having missed the last two games with a thigh strain: “He’ll be training today and if he comes through today, and we’re positive that he should, there’s no reason why he can’t be included, which is a big plus.
“Luke Hyam has tweaked his back, so he’s a bit stiff. We’ll assess him and see what he’s like tomorrow. He's still got another day or so to get over it.
“We’re not quite sure [whether he will] at this moment in time. He’s a quick healer, he’s a very determined lad and he won’t want to miss a game if he possibly can make it.”
Hutchings confirmed that Guirane N’Daw was withdrawn on Saturday after manager Paul Jewell was spoken to by referee Trevor Kettle at half-time: “He got booked and he was a little bit hot-headed and we just thought we were under the cosh and couldn’t afford to go down to 10 men, so that was the decision we made and you have to make these decisions sometimes.”

The players look to the manager as they are young men for someone to inspire and lead unfortunately Jewell does neither. He has no feeling for the club as have Evans and Clegg. If you look at his body language he doesnt give players confidence he is only interested in Paul Jewell that is why he is not right for this club

Only worth talking about if he gets better service than the strikers did at Barnsley. Even more so the way in which Chops plays.

What a ridiculous news post! We'll know if he plays when he turns up at the match on saturday. Why we'd want to know now is ridiculous. It'll all turn out to be lies like the rest of the place. Portman Road isn't what it used to be unfortunately; the whole place's atmosphere has been severely dented by pathetic performances and an even worse fanbase. If only Mick Mills was manager! Then we'd be challenging the Manchester teams for the Premier League title! JEWELL OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! JEWEL OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oi! Liastro, stop criticising the fans! You are proberly some Norwich City fan who has nothing better to do than bring your negativity to the pages of TWTD! It's one thing saying "Jewell Out", another thing having ago at the loyal and long-suffering fans! You can't even spell "Jewell" right second time round!

maybe a convenient job going for Paul Jewell at the impressive Barnsley. As Keith Hill maybe Blackburn bound

i agree with marcus9 Chopra has been a big disapointment, 30 goal prediction was bold,it is looking like being prity stupid too. I am more optimistic of Town scoring when Scotland is playing .Chopra has had plenty out of ITFC its about time he started to repay them and the fans by scoring goals . No violins this year Chops .
