Town Announce Burnley Ticket Offer
Thursday, 8th Nov 2012 18:26

Fans who buy a match ticket for Mick McCarthy’s first home game in charge against Burnley on Saturday will be able to watch the Blues take on either Millwall or Bristol City in December for £10.

Tickets are available in all areas of the ground, except premium areas, and can be bought from the main ticket office, in person or over the phone, in Planet Blue or online.

The promotional price tickets for the Millwall game on Saturday 8th December or the Bristol City match on Saturday 22nd December don’t need to be purchased at the same time as tickets for the Burnley game and will be available up to the day of those fixtures.

The ticket office number is 0844 80 11 555, while more details can be found on the club website here.

Tickets purchased at cash turnstiles will not be valid for this offer but it is open to supporters who have already bought tickets for Saturday's game.

The offer doesn't seem that generous, but it is better than nothing so I welcome it.

I also note that there are some grade C games coming up (Millwall on 8th December and Bristol City on 22nd December) so those games are from £20 for adults.

I am a season ticket holder but I recognise I get a discount of about £12 a match every week so don't complain.

Nsl, they reduce price for 1 game, fans will come to 1 game with club receiving a reduced revenue. This way the club get the fans committing to 2 games and will get the extra revenue from other supporters, it's possibly the only long term strategy of the club at the moment.

Nope, still don't get it. I just cannot see that extra people are going to pay full price to watch a game against Burnley off the back of a 5-0 defeat just because they get an opportunity to go to another game against even poorer opposition for half price.

Urchin...well said, i like your honesty. there are many who cant indeed afford season tickets. For those who can, enjoy the fact you can. There are those who simply wouldnt use a season because of other commitments to consider as well. So any Promotions are to be applauded imo.

Jas.... you do nothing but moan, the record is scratched and all you ever do is repeat yourself over and over again. I think most people now know you feel, Jewell has gone, now move on, i find the pleasure you seem to derive from towns plight, rather unsettling, We should all be upset at things, not lapping it up, with the " I TOLD YOU CARD"

If a STH loves the club more than a fan that only attends a dozen games, does that also mean a stay at home Mum loves the children more than a Dad that has to go to work....I thank you.

For f#ck sake I'm a season ticket holder and ANYTHING that helps the club get out of this mess sounds good to me! You season ticket holders that are moaning that 'your not getting a deal' out of the club will you be more happy with half filled grounds no atmosphere and no points= league one football? Stop f#ckin moaning and support the team get out of this mess COYB

Anyone know if STH can buy additional tickets at the reduced rate?

I am one of the casuals (other commitments and distance) and think anything that can increase the crowd is a good thing but do agree there maybee should be some benifit to season ticket holders on occassions such as this. I think they are pretty critical to the club. Maybee there could be some sort of poll on here just for them with a vote on what the club could offer them.

As long as everyone has thier bitch on here then cheers the tem on Saturday COYB

Good gesture from the club, although perhaps they could afford to lower prices or if you go to the game saturday, get the millwall or game bristol game free. st holders might not be happy but it would certainly increase the attendance, and it wouldnt cost them much to do so, not to mention the money they'd make on extra fans paying for food, drinks and programmes.

Season ticket holders, of which I am one, have full control over whether they buy a season ticket or not. They (we) know when we buy the ST that their will be games during the season when there will be offers on tickets. If you don't like it don't buy a season ticket.

ST ticket holders buy their ST for all sorts of reasons, not just the reduction over the ticket on the day price.

There are always some that will moan about anything. MM get the team winning and the club won't have to have all these cut price offers to fill the ground.

Just make sure you read the small print to avoid being disappointed. Its ONE cheap ticket per purchaser NOT per match ticket. If you have purchased 4x Burnley tickets for you and your mates under YOUR name you will only be able to get 1x ticket for Millwall or Bristol at the cheap price. Queried this in Planet Blue yesterday and they confirmed that this is the policy. I also queried why I was not told this when I brought my 3x tickets on Monday and was told that they only found out about the promotion Friday morning and would have advised all customers to purchase tickets under their own name if they had known about it earlier. Not their fault but I can see lots of confused fans wanting cheap tickets next week!
