Early Bird Deadline Today
Friday, 12th Apr 2013 09:39

Midday today is the early bird deadline for season tickets sales for 2013/14.

Last month, Town announced that they have frozen season ticket prices for a third successive season, although only for online sales. Full details of season ticket prices here.

Am I right in thinking that if I paid by Direct Debit last year it will automatically renew, and I don't have to do diddly (unless I wanted to cancel - which I was very tempted to do)?

Would liked to have had visibility of the team next year, as if it's going to be full of loanee's again i'd rather pick and choose games. Loanee's are not the way to go.

I know it's called "Early Bird" but for me this date is too early....especially for a club like Ipswich at the moment. The current season isn't even over. I'll support the team no matter what but I'm not even thinking about next season at the moment. We don't know what will happen in the summer with regards to transfers...or even which division we'll be in. The problem then is when I would consider buying a ticket that I won't pay more than what I know I could have got it for originally.

Still no price for renewing after today; I have been told there will be an increase.

have I got this right?...

we get to pay today for games in May 2014, without knowing for certain which division we are in, which players will entertain us, or how much we will be charged for renewing after today.

someone help me out here, does any other industry/entertainment get away with this behaviour? (....and why do we put up with it?)

I hope most fans would support ITFC in the Championship or League One!

As for the timing of this, I am surprised the deadline was before tomorrow's promotional prices match, as perhaps some new people will enjoy it and decide to buy a season ticket? Surely we should give a leaflet to everyone with a match ticket tomorrow to persuade them to buy a season ticket, along with tannoy announcements? Aspects of marketing like this I think we need to improve.

Er, its an early bird deal people, that's why you pay less.
Its like moaning you pay less by booking your holidays early, but you're not sure if you should wait and pay more nearer the time, because you don't know what the weather will be like during that week. That's the gamble.

Correct Jewellinthetown. Finally a sensible comment. And you don't have to pay now if you take the direct debit option. First payment is May 1st and there is no additional charge to take this option. Effectively this is 12 months 0% interest loan. I don't mind admiitting after a 13 year absence (family/work reasons) I have bought my ticket today - and the last time I had a ST we got promoted - Just saying

Strange timing, with the early bird deadline falling at the end of the Easter holiday period, when some people will have been away.

Got mine sorted in time!!
First time back as season ticket holder for 13 years.
Bringing my son along too.!
Will convert him from Chelsea to the town before end of next season.
I can see a great future ahead with MM in charge

Great idea by those in charge. Hopefully those who were in two minds have done nothing and re-newed. Think we'll still be in this division, but whatever division we're in "Follow the Town, up or down...." COYB!!!

Samsonblue - welcome back. I hate Chelsea (I am happy when Norwich beat them!) so I hope you manage to convert your son. At the end of the day it depends on whether he wants to actually watch football matches or whether he is happy with reading internet reports and watching Sky Sports. If he is a true football fan he will want to watch matches and he can only do that by watching his local team

I've bought a three year ticket. It will cost me just over £11 per match and I think that is remarkable value (regardless which division we are in)
