Be a Journalist for a Day at Colchester
Be a Journalist for a Day at Colchester
Wednesday, 5th Jun 2013 10:13

Football writers of the future have the chance to see how things work on a matchday from a media perspective when Town travel to Colchester United’s Weston Homes Community Stadium for a pre-season friendly on Tuesday 23rd July (KO 7.45pm). The U’s have donated a Be A Journalist For The Day package to Blues supporters group Spirit of 78 to auction to raise funds for the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation.

The winner and their guest will go along to the game, be met in reception to get their press passes, sit in the press box during the game and then be a part of the post-match press interviews. Depending on the weather, post-match press will take place either at the mouth of the players’ tunnel or in the post-match interview room in the tunnel itself.

The successful bidder will have the chance to have their work published, either on Colchester United’s website or in their match programme. They will get a parking pass and also have their name in the matchday programme as part of the prize so they can have an souvenir of the day.

Anyone interested needs to send their bid to itfc@fsmail.net before the closing date of 28th June. The winner will be notified the following day. At the time of writing, the highest bid placed so far is £65.

TWTD is an excellent site and im quite sure phil does not need any pointers.
to my mind he would be better on the EADT than WATSON or BACON.

Nothings better than Bacon..........well maybe Phil bitching to the referee every time he falls over a blade of grass.

His use of vowels is excessive

nthstd as a youth coach myself bacons opinions re parents being excluded from youth games have led to me no longer wishing to read his articles.
I get the EADT every day but always go to TWTD first for town news
