The Blues will face League One Crawley Town in a pre-season friendly at the Broadfield Stadium on Wednesday 10th July (KO 7.45pm).

Town were last at Crawley for a pre-season friendly in July 2007 when they ran out 5-1 winners against the then-Blue Square Bet Premier side. Tommy Miller scored a hat-trick and Alan Lee two.

You can find a list of Town’s confirmed pre-season friendlies here.

Love this news!

I live in Crawley so it will be great to see Ipswich play down here again. There is a huge Ipswich Town following in West Sussex so we will definately have a big Ipswich crowd for this one.

On a more serious note, if any of you guys are coming down from Ipswich, park in the K2 Leisure Centre Car park across the road from the stadium.

These are nice little pre-season games but slightly worried that none of these teams will push us an extra mile. Would like to see us play someone like Tottenham or Arsenal, even with most of their reserves out they'd be a good competitive game.

Michael11 Believe me mate If Crawley play their first XI it will be a serious work out for our lads as they are no mugs especially at home!

Be good to see Billy Clarke again, he had a decent return of goals last season. Still comvinced we should never have sold him.

Believe me mate Billy Clarke is very average and he's found his level in League 1. Have watched him a few times last season we aren't missing much!

Couldn't ask for better news today. That'll be my last day of my R and R before I have to fly back to Afghanistan for a few months, and I only live ten minutes away! Thank you ITFC.

Cannot wait. I live just a few miles away and was hoping that Crawley Town would be promoted and that Brighton failed in play-offs. Unfortunately my favourite away trip of Pompey will be no more for several years. COYB
