Timlin Joins Up With Squad Thursday, 4th Jul 2013 19:40 Irish winger Mark Timlin is the latest young player to have joined up with the Town squad at their training camp at Carton House in Kildare, Ireland. The 18-year-old is one of the five second-year scholars from last year who has agreed a professional contract for the season ahead.
Like the other youngsters who are with the senior squad this week Timlin has undergone the traditional initiation of singing in front of his team-mates.
However, he failed to impress academy right-back Kyle Hammond, who tweeted: “Just seen the worst attempt to sing @MarkTimlin11 #disgrace”

Best of luck to him. It would be really good to have a decent young winger, hopefully with a bit of pace. We have been lacking that for years, as most of our wide players have preferred to play in central midfield or up front.

Keep the young hungry lads coming in. Forget the journey men. Youth is the future.

I am going to Saturdays game in Dublin. I cant wait to see the lads in action. Hoping Lawrence & Timlin get some game time. Will be interesting to see how Timlin compares to the Doherty, the Irish winger training with the team this week! Weather should be ideal for pacy wingers! Phil, if you are over taking pictures at the game on saturday make sure you look out for me! I'll be wearing my black Ipswich Town shirt!
