Settled Nouble Making Progress Friday, 6th Dec 2013 11:35 Frank Nouble is convinced he can carry on improving now that he has settled at Ipswich after a nomadic few years in football. Nouble is still only 22 but prior to joining Town in January this year he had represented no fewer than 10 other clubs. He started at Chelsea, moved to West Ham and then had loan spells with West Brom, Swindon, Swansea, Barnsley, Charlton, Gillingham and Barnsley before signing for Wolves on a free transfer in June 2012. Nouble, who is under contract until June 2015, said: “I’m very settled. I’ve been here almost a year and I’m really happy. I’m not looking to go anywhere else — right now I’m just looking to push for the play-offs with Ipswich. “If I keep doing the right things I’m sure I’ll be here a little while. Doing well is the main thing and if I’m doing well everyone does well.” The Londoner is determined to repay the faith that Town boss Mick McCarthy and his assistant, Terry Connor, have shown in him. He added: “I’ve just got to keep going and make sure I’m progressing from one week to the next. Playing is the thing because if I get a run of games I know I’ll come good. “It’s good to work with Terry Connor because he was a striker himself. He works very hard with the boys and every Friday we’re out early, the strikers, doing finishing and we want to take it on from the training ground into games. “I think we’ve done alright this year but I accept that I still need to improve on every aspect of my game. We train well but it’s hard to take what you do in training into games because you are fighting for points and there’s a lot of pressure, as you can see from the number of managers who have been sacked recently after some bad results. “I wouldn’t be here if the staff didn’t have faith in me and as players we’ve all got faith in the staff, looking to pay them back.” Twitter addict Nouble also enjoys keeping in touch with supporters on the social media website, adding: “It’s always good to interact with the fans. They pay good money to come and watch us play. “We’re out there to entertain them but also win for them and when you are winning you’ve got to enjoy it as much as you can.”
