Junior Blues Room Now Open on Matchdays
Junior Blues Room Now Open on Matchdays
Friday, 14th Feb 2014 11:36

Young Town supporters can now meet up before home games in the new Junior Blues room.

Skipper Carlos Edwards and Junior Blues captain Frank Nouble officially opened the new facility in the lower tier of the East of England Co-operative Stand earlier this week.

The room, which is kitted out with Playstations, TVs, arts and crafts and games, offers young supporters a place to go prior to matches where they can meet other young fans and take part in the various activities on offer.

Junior Blues manager, Julie Bryant, told the club website: “Adults have the bar and can talk to one another and the kids don’t really have anything to do, so the Junior Blues room gives them their own little community and a chance to interact with other youngsters of similar ages.”

Academy sponsors Source One Consulting provided much of the furnishings for the room, while Signs Express and the Co-operative have also helped to provide the facility.

The room is open to all Junior Blues and young fans with tickets in the East of England Co-operative Stand on Saturday matchdays from 1.30pm.

Is that accessible to all, irrespective of which stand you sit in, or just those in the Co-op stand?

That is an excellent idea.

I went in to this with the family before Bolton.
Really friendly staff and a nice little room.
Good thing is backs on to the pratice pitch so the boys could run around with a ball before coming in here while I could have a pint outside.

Oh and btw, my two aren't Junior Blues but were invited in and made to feel welcome. Obviously they tried to sell Junior Blues membership to me and why not.

Hoppy - think it can only be for those who sit in the Pioneer. Not sure how else you can get in there but worth asking.

Just checked with the club and only for Co-op Stand supporters as other fans won't be able to get through the turnstiles. The reason it's in that stand is that the main family section is in there. Will amend story to cover that.
