Discounted Tickets for Wigan Game
Thursday, 13th Mar 2014 15:28

Season ticket holders and fans who bought matchday tickets to the Birmingham game are entitled to £5 off each of up to four tickets for Saturday’s crucial home match against fellow play-off challengers Wigan Athletic.

The Wigan game is a Grade C match, so with the discount the cheapest adult ticket is £16.

The deadline for the promotion is Saturday at 1.30pm Planet Blue and 2.45pm online at ITFC Direct. More details on the club site.

Town recently announced ticket promotions at more of this season's remaining home games.

Seriously Evens! this is the best you can do to entise more people to the ground. Youre so tight, if you shave a coal up your arse two weeks later you will get a diamond.

yep, brilliant isn't it, I can't get to all games for one reason or another including costs, couldn't make the Birmingham game but sat through the turgid Blackpool game, surely that alone should be rewarded!!

So mattb97 let me get this right..... You moaning at the fact that the club are offering discounted tickets of £16 for supporters to be able to watch one of Towns most crucial matches in a seriously long time against an opposition who are fighting against us for a play off place, were in the premier league last season and are F.A. Cup semi finalists ! What exactly is it that you want ? I guess you'd still moan if they scrapped turnstyles and let everyone in for free ! Moan, Moan Fcuking Moan !!!

Can someone please explain to me how the club grades the games as there isn't one attractive fixture this season. And I can't really imagine a mass stampede for a Grade A match.

Ipswich are playing..... It shouldn't matter how attractive the opposition are !

I agree but that wasn't what I was trying to ascertain - I just wondered how the club grades the games.

Maybe it should have been anybody with a ticket since christmas for people like Smithy?
The more people with the opportunity for a cheaper ticket would put a few more bums on seats?

The Club should also give free tickets and hospitality to any fans who went to both the Middlesboro and Yeovil games, what an amazing effort!! (Well done those who did!)

I think the fact the game is a grade c is a good enough discount as it is, £20 for a game is less than average for a champ team, some people are never pleased

Follow the Sac Kings in the NBA and for the lesser games they do deals at just $10 including a drink and hotdog just to entice people to fill up the arena! They do this to create an atmosphere which in turn is known as the sixth man. Get the crowd rocking and the noise levels up and it really can win the game for the team. More i watch the way the NBA and how the draft is done and everything else, the more i fall out of love with how unfair football is. Maybe somehow the English could adopt how the americans bring sportsmen through the ranks from highschool through to pro level and intergrate it into the english football league. I'd say if they did that and had 30 pro level sports teams drafting young english players developed from 40 uni/college teams with our level of passion and coaching, then we would dominate international football within 10 years. Your big clubs would be the uniteds through to an Ipswich and your uni teams would be your Barnsleys. Outside of that you would have development teams which would be for players outside uni level and would consist of your Southends ect. Just a passing thought anyway

even if you didn't go to those games you only need to know someone who did, or who is a season ticket holder.

they can buy 4 tickets so anyone who wants a chepaer ticket should be able to get one.

super seven - if ipswich played 80 odd games a season like in the NBA - they probably would have to charge £10 a game!

It will be very interesting to see who wants to go and watch the style of play at the moment, whether it is a cheaper ticket or for free. We will see what the crowd numbers are, if we are challenging for promotion as many supporters think we are we will be well up in the 20's. I think my formula for attracting fans with entertaining football, whilst challenging for promotion would work better. People I have taken a long to watch an occasional game this year didn't want to go back!! Lets hope we're all entertained and go away happy with 3 points. Attacking positive football please McCarthy.

Its obviously not the biggest discount but surely still a step in the right direction?! Clearly you cant please anyone on this forum anymore!

I know we whine about the prices a lot but ive just paid £30 for a ticket for Brighton. Clearly we arent the only ones with ticket issues eh?

Commuterblue - The capacity of NBA arenas is averages around 17000. Town play id say 25 games a season at home, NBA teams play around 40 games at home. In terms of maths the revenue would be very much same
