The TWTD Questionnaire 2013/14 Saturday, 31st May 2014 09:17 Now that the dust has settled on the 2013/14 season, it’s time for this year's TWTD Questionnaire, the chance for you to look back in judgement on Mick McCarthy’s first full campaign in charge at Portman Road.
It's quite long, so leave the odd question out if you can't decide on an answer, it doesn't apply to you, you're getting a bit bored or you're starting to feel tired. If you change your mind you can go back and amend your answer at any time. Everything will be treated in the strictest confidence.
The results will be made available once TWTD's supercomputer, the Osborne 1.0, has finished the processing later in the summer.
The TWTD Questionnaire is the biggest annual poll carried out amongst Town supporters with 2,486 fans responding last year.
All the relevant people are made aware of the results, while you can suggest ideas or improvements for TWTD in the final question. If you do so, please include your email address.

Exactly what i thought tractordownsouth, not surprised i'm putting the same sort of answers for questions like "how fair are the ticket prices" and "how do you rate the coverage of Ipswich on anglia"

Looking back at previous answers , town have not made no improvements what so ever to this season , really do wonder how we end up with the family award each year

Food & Drink still exspensive. £2.30 for a bottle of coke in the Legends!!!

Done! My main issue is the expense of buying matchday tickets. It's something that keeps me away from Portman Road when I would like to get to games more often. I baulk at spending £30 to attend a Championship match.

Agree with the general viewpoint above: (1) matchday tickets are a complete rip-off, (2) food and drink too pricey - I never buy them at the ground any more, and (3) whenever I bought tea in the BR, it tasted disgusting. I know the argument goes something like "if we lower the prices, it will be hard to get people to pay more again in the future," but I would have thought a full ground would have had so many knock-on advantages it would be worthwhile. By rights, crowds should have risen much more this season. So we need to ask why they didn't.

It should have been made easier to buy match day tickets not harder. I know people who would like to go occasionally but do not know how to do it on line and are phased by the whole idea of not being able to do it on the phone or buying on the gate. These people do not now go. Tickets should not have risen in price this season, more effort should have been put in to ensure more tickets are sold, albeit at a reduced rate. Effort seems to be lacking all around Portman Road if you ask me. It's not just walking around in smart clothes and looking after a few rich people at games that brings in the crowds! At the last game I was made aware that some suppliers had stopped supplying the club until it had paid it's debts to them. Is this really the message a well run family club of old wants to send out to local businesses? I predict more of the same next year, on and off the pitch.

would have liked to have seen previous loan signings mcgoldrick and murphy in question 8. Although they played for us last year whilst on loan, they were still signings in the summer.

Yo, people?! You lot are missing the point! The question was "Looking back in judgement on Mick McCarthy's first full campaign in charge of Ipswich Town!!!" ........MIck McCarthy is not in charge of ticket prices or food & drinks!!!

Matchday costs are expensive - but I can live with the costs in the bars and the kiosks as its optional to buy the beers and pies in the ground but matchday tickets? They are pretty steep - I'm nuturing a 6 year old fan against those who think following a club in London or Manchester is the way forward! He loves going to the games and wears his shirt with pride but normally it'll be on the kids for a quid (or a similar) promotion. I'm not expecting near on free tickets but a fairer ticketing price structure to encourage the youngsters to get along and 'hook' the next generation of fans would be fab..

Good questionnaire as always chaps! My favourite part? Spending about 20 minutes running through the list of players under "favourite all time player." Some absolute stormers in there. Some id all but forgotten about. When a list begins with Nabil Abidallah you know youre in for a ride and it truly did not dissapoint!
