Buy in Advance and Arrive Early at Colchester
Friday, 18th Jul 2014 14:25

Fans travelling to the Weston Homes Community Stadium for next Wednesday’s friendly against Colchester United are advised to buy their match tickets in advance and to arrive early to avoid queues (KO 7.30pm).

Town have taken more than 1,000 fans to the previous friendlies against the U’s, leading to hold-ups outside the ground. Tickets, costing £15 for adults, £12 for 18 to 21-year-olds, £10 for seniors and under-18s, and £2 for under-eights, are available from Town here.

Colchester’s shuttle bus service will be running on Wednesday with its last journey at 7.15pm, arriving at the ground for 7.25pm.

Currently, there are plenty of parking spaces available in the club car park with details of how to secure one in advance on the official Colchester website.

Cant get tickets for the away(north) end of ground as Town have taken their full allocation to Ipswich.May be able to nearer the time.Car Park tickets cost £6.

There for its either get down to PR or over the internet as stupidly done away with phone requests.Oh and by the way if you have problems the ticket office seems to have changed its number to 0330050503(see website). This number cant be dialled thru BT as I have tried but appears to be available thru Skype.

Evans or is it Milne, seems to be making ITFC the football equivalent of Ryanair! Are they actually trying to get people to PR what with matchday ticket prices, and £2.50 surcharge for on the day entry, unless its changed from last year.Thank good ness I have a season ticket.

The place is a joke. Last time I went I did arrive early only to find the traffic had queues back to the A12. WE then couldn't park anywhere near the ground and by the time we had parked about 1 mile from the ground we still had huge queues at the ground to get in. We finally got in the ground 20 minutes after ko. A ground capacity of 6000 I believe built in the middle of nowhere and unless you buy in advance you will struggle. Supporters who don't know if they can go until the last minute - don't bother.

I live in Colchester the ground was meant to be built with all the road complete and businesses in place this still has not happend. The best place to park would be the road by the rugby ground. Last time we took so many they had to open up the other stand there were more then 2500. It was madness to get in they were not expecting this I don't know why as loads of ipswich fans will turn up on the night.
