Monday, 3rd Nov 2014 14:15

Jack Collison, Cameron Stewart and trialist George Wells are all in the starting XI for Town’s U21s against QPR at Playford Road (KO 2pm).

Collison, who spent time on trial at QPR in the summer, and Stewart continue to work on their match fitness with manager Mick McCarthy having said that they could win places on the bench for tomorrow’s first-team game against Wolves if they impress against the West Londoners.

Wells is a left-back currently with Ryman Premier League side Hampton and Richmond, who the Blues played in a friendly last week.

The 18-year-old impressed in his previous appearance for Town’s U21s, the 2-1 Premier League Cup victory over Swansea at Portman Road. Wells was previously with Chelsea and QPR’s youth set-ups.The visitors include Adel Taarabt in their starting line-up.

U21s: Marsden, Emmanuel, Wells, Robinson, Kenlock, Collison, Galvin, Benyu, Stewart, McQueen, Patterson. Subs: McDermid, Wyatt, Guldbrandsen, Ramadan, Ellis.
