Fans Around the Globe Meeting Up as Fortuna Blues and Danes Make Trip
Friday, 9th Jan 2015 17:10

With Saturday’s second-v-third Championship clash at home to Derby being shown live on TV in the UK and abroad, Town fans across the country and around the globe will be meeting up in pubs and bars to cheer the Blues on to victory (Sky Sports 1/HD1, from noon, KO 12.15pm).

ITFC Sweden will be meeting up at the Tudor Arms pub in Stockholm (1pm local time). They’ll be running a score prediction competition with prizes from their own shop. All Town fans who happen to be in the area are welcome, but should send an email to info@itfcsweden.com if they are planning to attend.

As per previous games this season, the South-West Branch have two venues. Those way out west, can pop along to the Volunteer Inn in Sidmouth, while Toto's is the place to be in Bristol city centre. For more details on the South-West Branch send them an email.

Saturday’s game also sees the Fortuna Blues make their annual pilgrimage to Portman Road, their 11th trip. This year they will be bringing a record 170 fans, while a group of about 12-14 from the Danish Branch of the Supporters Club will also be at the match.

After the game the Supporters Club will welcome them and any other Town fans interested to their first Legends in Legends event of the season. A number of ex-players, including Bryan Hamilton, Mick Stockwell and John Wark, will be in the Legends bar in the Sir Alf Ramsey Stand, which will open later than usual, to meet fans, sign autographs and have their photographs taken.

If you’re watching the match at a pub or bar in some far-flung part of the nation or world, post it below. Please do not post links to illegal streams here or on the forum.

My only fellow Beijing Blue has since moved to Thailand. Any other Tractor Boys in Beijing?? I managed to persuade The Local, Sanlitun to show the previous Charlton game - could be a possibility this Saturday...

Further to my earlier post, I called the Football Factory in Toronto who confirmed that they will be showing the game live and offering breakfast. There will be a few of us and it would be great to see some more Tractor Boys and Girls there.

I love that we have so many fans around the world!

I'm going to the game with 5 friends who aren't Town fans but they wanted to experience Portman Road for the first time.

This m,ay sound a little silly but anyone watching it in a pub in London (preferably near Brixton)? Be good to have some other Town fans around and my concern is that most pubs will be showing the Liverpool game, on at the same time on BT Sports.

Going to be on at Eddies Bar in Lagos, Portugal. I may even break my detox January rule for this one.
