Skuse Returns at Brighton
Wednesday, 21st Jan 2015 18:55

Cole Skuse’s return to the side in place of Stephen Hunt is Town’s only change as the Blues take on Brighton at the Amex Stadium. A win will take the Blues to the top of the Championship.

Skuse, who has missed the last three games having been ill, will take up his usual central midfield role with Jay Tabb switching to the left. New signings Paddy Kenny and Freddie Sears are on the bench.

First-year academy scholar Kundai Benyu travelled with the senior squad first time but was left out of the 18 along with Cameron Stewart.

Former Blues loanee David Stockdale starts for the home side, who are without Craig Mackail-Smith (ankle), Jake Forster-Caskey (hip) and Greg Halford (calf) due to injury and suspended defender Lewis Dunk, their top scorer.

Brighton: Stockdale, Bruno, Greer, Hughes, Bennett, Holla, Ince, Calderon, Teixeira, Baldock, O'Grady. Subs: Walton, Rea, Chicksen, McCourt, March, Colunga, Best.

Town: Bialkowski, Chambers (c), Mings, Berra, Smith, Skuse, Bru, Anderson, Tabb, N Hunt, Murphy. Subs: Kenny, Parr, Clarke, S Hunt, Bishop, Ambrose, Sears.

Great to have skuse back to keep the ball on the floor and break up play, we've missed him. A team that should do the job and plenty on the bench if it's not going for us.

Hard working starting 11 with flair on the bench. Feel we will lose this one 2.0

Yep, best available selection for tonight's game. This is also very winnable. Brighton not great and lost to brentford.

We may not have the biggest squad but that bench certainly gives us some decent options. Be good to see Stewart involved in the near future.

Strange that Kundai wasn't on the bench for the Millwall match.

See ol' sick note Hyam is out again..no wonder he can't find any form, he plays a few matches and then has twice that amount out injured.

Sounds like they have been well on top 1st half - being undone by a weakened Brighton side?

At the game and we are complete rubbish! They are walking through our defence with ease! Absolute rubbish !

It is unacceptable to concede 3 goals in 45 mins especially to a team that has won only 5 games this season!!!!!!!!

Mountain to climb and no excuses ..........
