McCarthy, Connor and Milne Amongst Club Representatives at Supporters Club AGM
McCarthy, Connor and Milne Amongst Club Representatives at Supporters Club AGM
Monday, 26th Oct 2015 12:10

Following the success of last year's event, this season's Supporters Club AGM, which takes place on Thursday in Legends Bar, will once again take the form of an open evening with fans having a chance to meet and question management representing many areas of the club's activities, both off-field and on-field, including boss Mick McCarthy and his assistant Terry Connor.

Also attending will be MD Ian Milne, club secretary and supporters liaison officer Sally Webb, finance director Mark Andrews, director of academy sales Simon Milton - who will host the question and answer session - director of sales Rosie Richardson and media manager Steve Pearce.

Liz Edwards, chair of the Supporters Club, commented: "I'm really pleased that ITFC recognised how successful this event was last year, and are supporting it again.

“It's a great chance for fans to meet, talk with and question the people who are responsible for the running of the club, including managing director Ian Milne, club secretary and supporter liaison officer Sally Webb, as well as representatives from many other areas. Fantastic too that Mick and Terry will join us - it's always a lively session."

Doors open 7pm for a prompt 7.30pm start. The evening also includes the formal business of the Supporters Club AGM, so evidence of membership will need to be shown at the door: season ticket or Silver/Ambassador/Junior Blues club cards. Please contact Liz Edwards via officialitsc@btinternet.com if you're unsure if you qualify.

I attended last year as a long-standing Season Ticker holder and everything the supporters said has been ignored. Namely, do away with the banding of matches (A, B or C) - supporters go to watch their team, not the opposition - also don't charge extra for purchasing a ticket on the day of the match (some people don't know whether they can come until the day), reduce prices and that even those that have computers don't always have a printer, some form of ticket line is still needed - plus a host of other issues raised by supporters that the Club seem to have completely ignored. I hope the Club representatives present themselves better, introduce themselves properly, seem more professional and have answers to simple questions that at last year's AGM they did not.

I bet fans wont be able to ask Mick all the important questions like why "The Undroppables" exist.
Or what Barts done to upset him so much.
Waste of time

Actually, the Supporters can ask anything - its an open floor, no holes barred.

Ah well even more depressed now. Just read the match report of U21's vs Crystal Palace. We lost 1-0 and it seems Bart is no better than Gerken at commanding his box and coming for crosses! New goalkeeper, new right back and Parr at left back please. Hopefully MM will be asked why these positions weren't made stronger in the summer.

Hopefully they will be asked some tough questions. We need to understand the lack of spending, despite the thousands saved on wages and millions received from Mings plus the relaxation of FFP. Ticket prices and Evans charging the maximum for every match day ticket this season should also be addressed. No doubt there will be loads of spin. Let's hope the fans attending won't stand for it.

Show membership so any awkward questions will result in sanctions. Had it in the RAF each year, when a senior clueless officer attended a Q&A session, so that boxes were ticked. Complete waste of time.

yorksblue - it's an AGM so you need to show proof of membership. Last year, people were asked to sign in, but if anyone can prove membership yet objected to signing in, that wouldn't be a problem.
It's useful to know who has been, where from (if a branch member etc), and often it has helped to put people I touch for carshares, coach travel and event organisation ...

My how things have mood has changed (in a very short time) since the Play-offs in May.

Let's all get real here.

We all know that we are not currently playing well - but still 7 points off the play-offs ffs.

Sometimes it really is 'Better the devil you know" - We should all fully support the team we love (& MM/TC) through these current difficult times....please DON'T EVER forget the horrendous dark days of only 3 years ago under Keane!!!

We certainly dont want a knee jerk reaction on Thursday.
I for one certainly dont want another Keane or Jewel coming in and ruining OUR club.

BLUE ARMY!!!!

Cookycrew We are only 7 points of the play-offs Only!!!!!! suddenly the top two are all forgotten about and at this rate so will top six, you do realize that to get back up to the top six we have to win our games and all those above and some in the top six have to loose theirs the way we are performing that is very unlikely.I still dont believe MM can take us much further and i would love to be at the AGM but that is out of the question because it would be a 4000mile round trip hopefully there will be some representatives there of the non believers to get some answers to what MM intends to do to improve selection/tactics/entertainment level which at the moment is all sh-te.
