Liverpool Still Eyeing Dozzell Tuesday, 1st Nov 2016 22:59 Liverpool have reportedly maintained their interest in Blues youngster Andre Dozzell, despite the midfielder having signed a two-year professional deal when he turned 17 in May. The Reds were pursuing the England U18 international prior to him signing his contract and, according to the Daily Mirror, remain keen with a possible £2 million bid mooted. Dozzell scored on his senior debut aged only 16, like his father Jason, after coming on as a sub at Sheffield Wednesday in April and made his first start in the home game against Fulham later that week. This season his only senior appearance came in the EFL Cup against Stevenage when he was subbed at half-time, while he has been on the bench seven times in the Championship but without making it on to the field. Town are unlikely to consider accepting anything other than a very significant offer for Dozzell at this stage in his development with big things expected of the former Copleston High School pupil.
