Former Loanee Grant Rejoins Doncaster

Former Blues loanee Conor Grant has rejoined his former loan club Doncaster Rovers from Everton for the remainder of the season, his spell with the Blues having been cut short in November.

The 21-year-old, who was with Doncaster last season, made four starts and three sub appearances for Town without scoring.

“I’m delighted to be back, it feels like I have unfinished business with Rovers after injury ended my loan spell last season and relegation,” he told the League Two club’s website.

“There were other offers, but the manager [Darren Ferguson] made it an easy choice for me. The fans took to me last time, so it was a straightforward decision really.

“The manager told me how much he wanted me, and having a manager who has confidence and believes in you makes a real difference in football.”

Obviously a talented player but was never going to dislodge the pedestians in the middle of the park.Perhaps you should have concentrated on things people don't notice as this seems to have worked for Skuse !!!

runningout added 10:12 - Jan 3 has plenty of ability... Not great if he requires to be told he's any good. Footballers need a little arrogance, and own self belief to prosper week in week out.

Berts_chin added 18:45 - Jan 3 I thought he looked the most promising of the debut makers against Barnsley in the opening game of the season, and that included Grant Ward's hat trick. Unfortunately he was never subsequently given any opportunity to establish himself. I hope he has a successful stint at Doncaster and goes on to make it at his parent club.

rugbytomc added 21:29 - Jan 4 He's now on loan with a league 2 club. Perhaps he just wasn't ready for the championship. Don't know why we signed him in the first place given the number of centre mids we've got. Frees up wages for someone else to come in-hopefully
