Town Open Day on Thursday

Town’s annual Open Day takes place on Thursday at Portman Road (free entry, gates open 9.30am, ends 2pm).

The event, which was attended by more than 4,000 fans last year, will see the first-team squad and coaching staff take part in a signing and selfie session prior to a training session on the main pitch, while there will also be activities on the FieldTurf behind the East of England Co-op Stand and the FanZone will also be open.

Entry for the signing and selfie session, which will run for an hour from 10am, is via the entrance by the Sir Alf Ramsey Stand on Portman Road, next to the Cobbold Stand, while the main entrance to the FieldTurf is via Gate 1A on Sir Alf Ramsey Way.

The players will be on tables for the signing and selfie session as follows:

The players will subsequently spend some time in the dressing room before going out on the turf for the training session at 11.30am.

The stalls and activities on the FieldTurf include Ipswich Witches Speedway, Seckford Golf Club, 12th Man, Boots2Africa, ITFC Junior Blues, the Suffolk FA, BBC Radio Suffolk, Town 102, Cineworld Ipswich, Namco Funscape, Treadfirst, ITFC Inflatables, Go Ape, Coffee Link, My Big Fat Wedding Disco, the Samaritans and many more.

Table 3 looks like this year's table of death, although 1 and 5 are also strong. Table 4 could be the surprise table.

Cash only area???, looks like Dodgy Evans is trying to put one over the VAT man (lol). Would have thought MM would have shared his table with Chambo, Skuse, Knudsen & Jerkin!!!

My 11 year old son as just text me to advise that the Open Day is rubbish. I don't have the full detail as to why but it would be interesting to see others comments. He has been to every one of the open days since they started so maybe he is just bored with the familiarity and they need to change it. Normally I meet them there in my lunch hour but he has told me they will be back home before I get to lunch. I have advised him to provide constructive feed back to the club as to why he feels this way.

Mick says striker will have to be a loan signing. Tried for Fletcher but Boro have chucked 7 mill at signing him.

That being the case Sam Gallagher would be my choice.... suggestions?
