Hyam and Trialist French Start for U23s
Monday, 14th Aug 2017 13:01

Luke Hyam and trialist Tyler French, who is currently with AFC Sudbury, are included in the starting line-up for this afternoon’s opening U23s game of the season against Crewe Alexandra at Playford Road (KO 1pm).

Hyam is making his return after injury, while defender French previously spent time on trial with the Blues last season when he featured for the U18s and U23s.

The 18-year-old ex-Long Melford, Hadleigh United youngster, who caught the eye of plenty of league clubs in England and Scotland last season, also had a stint on trial at Leicester in the summer.

U23s: Wright, French, Webber, Blanchfield, Fowler, C Smith, Patterson, Hyam, Folami, McLoughlin, McKendry. Subs: Marshall, Egan, Ndaba, McGavin, Wilton.

In view of what Mick said about playing more senior players in the u23's this season to make them more competitive, cant see why he isn't playing Kevin Bru;after all he is contracted to Ipswich.

Must be awful for him not to get a squad number, and be frozen out as he appears to be.
