Rail Disruption on Derby Day Saturday, 1st Sep 2018 22:58 Fans travelling to Sunday’s East Anglian derby against Norwich City by train should note that some services will be affected by planned engineering work. For those travelling from the direction of London, Harwich and Braintree, lines are closed from Chelmsford to Ipswich, Witham to Braintree and Manningtree to Harwich Town. A revised train timetable will operate between Liverpool Street and Ingatestone/Chelmsford with buses replacing trains for part of the journey. There is also a bus service between Chelmsford and Colchester (calling all stations) and on the branch lines there are buses between Witham and Braintree and Manningtree and Harwich Town. Shuttle train services will operate from Marks Tey to Sudbury and Colchester to Clacton and Thorpe-le-Soken to Walton-on-Naze. Buses also replace trains between Shenfield and Southend Victoria.
