Roberts a Loan Target for Trio
Monday, 14th Jan 2019 11:44

Bradford City, Plymouth Argyle and the MK Dons are reported to have made loan offers to the Blues for Jordan Roberts.

According to HITC Sport, the three clubs have agreed terms regarding a loan with Roberts considering who to join. The Bantams and Pilgrims are both struggling at the bottom of League One, while the Dons are third in League Two.

Roberts, 25, joined the Blues in the summer on a free transfer after leaving Crawley Town at the end of last season.

The winger or striker rarely featured under Paul Hurst but was used as a number nine by Paul Lambert after he took over.

However, with Collin Quaner and Will Keane having been added to the squad during January, Roberts seems unlikely to be used in that role and a loan exit would be no surprise, Lambert having said that one or two fringe players will now be allowed to move away.

In total, Roberts has made six starts and six sub appearances for the Blues without scoring.

i would expect 4+ leaving in this window. Least we get a loan and fee and they cover wages.

Sounds sensible to me

Just not good enough for this level. Think MK Dons would be a good shout for him. He'd be handy in a decent League Two side.

Think Nolan and Edwards would be on the list to leave as well

Correct decision if he goes, pace could be devastating at L2 but hes not Champ, he does give it all, can see Toto as the only remainder of the Hurst infkux

Shropshire

Talking to Posh season ticket holders, they said Edwards was a good player but always seemed to fade away towards the end of the season. They said they thought they would miss him this season but in hindsight it was the right desicion to let him leave.

So good call Shropshire as he is not good enough for Peterborough

He has good pace and decent movement but needs better finishing for this level, so maybe a move to MK Dons where he'll likely get more shooting opportunities would suit him?

As for Edwards - really impressed by him early on, showed form good enough to get a Wales call up. He has clearly dropped off though - I have no idea why but if the manager can figure that out then a useful player to have around still.

Nolan, Donacien, Nsiala - all surplus to requirements. a loan for Jackson as well? to a league one team middle to top of the table would be ideal!

From what I have seen Roberts is still a better option than Dawkins. I think both have been knee jerk signings.

Give Roberts credit for 100% effort under Lambert . Better than some of the other rubbish signings

Roberts definitely gave his all. I wouldn't let Nsiala leave think he's important cover at CB and for me was the stand out player up at Accrington. I feel there was a reason a few champs clubs were sniffing after Nolan and he could come good. That being said doubt Lambert will want him and could see him join a fellow champs team.
Gwion can be good possibly off the bench.
Ellis Harrison is awful.

Has played out wide, like to see him have a go there, only If it was as a sub.

Let him go out on loan for rest of season and depending what league town are playing in next season decide whether to keep or get rid in the summer.

Fitted the summer wage structure on offer from the owner. Unsurprising not that good a player. Tried his best though.

Good to see our most recent signings are more championship quality rather than league one. Positive step from Evans.

Right that's a start now perhaps we could get rid of a few more of Hurst signings ????

Edwards looked like Ryan Giggs early into the season but sadly he's really dropped a level or 2 since then. I wouldn't mind us hanging on to him though as if he could recapture that form again he'd be well worth having in the building still! I do recall some of the Posh fans said his form could be patchy and I can see just what they mean now!

Hopefully all Hursts signings can go out on loan. And hopefully as many to LG 1 clubs as possible, Ready for next seasons assault.

Gave 110% every game, strong has a bit of pace but lacks ball control and finish - Would be a great signing for MK Dons promotion push. Wish him well.

Lets send Jackson to a League One team for the rest of the season to see if he can score a few and gain some experience, still young and who knows. Like Lambert said he has skipped two leagues and that can't often be done.

Get shot of Knudsen - He hasn't want to play hear since his end of season out burst about Mick's treatment. Never convinced he was giving us 100% this season. Lets get a fee and get him of the wage bill asap.

It seems as if either Harrison or Jackson will be loaned out in order to balance the squad so Roberts leaving seems a no brainer, from what ive seen he has the athleticism and attitude required for the championship but maybe lacks a little in terms of ability.

I hope you prove me wrong Jordan, never disgraced yourself in a blue shirt.
