Town, who face Lincoln City in an FA Cup first round replay at Sincil Bank next Wednesday, have confirmed that should they progress they will play Coventry City at St Andrew’s in the second round on Sunday 1st December with a 2pm kick-off.
The Sky Blues are sharing Birmingham City’s home ground this season and the Championship are hosting Millwall on the Saturday.
Coventry beat Colchester United 2-0 at the JobServe Community Stadium in round one on Saturday.
Town and Coventry have never previously met in the FA Cup, although they have drawn one another in the League Cup on four occasions, most recently in 2000 when the Blues won 2-1 at Portman Road, and once in the Simod Cup.

For newer Town supporters perhaps, the name Colin Viljoen has disappeared into the mists of time. But for those of us who started supporting Town in the 60s his name is fondly recalled as a true great. His highlights reel alone (alas it exists only in memory) would mark him out as someone special.
Big Al by ElephantintheRoom
When the Kevin Beattie statue is revealed, I suspect it will be his great pal and fellow central defensive titan, Allan Hunter, who will do the revealing. What will be going through Big Al’s mind I wonder? Sadness at his friend’s passing – but mixed with fierce pride perhaps.
