Friday, 25th Sep 2020 12:22

Town’s EFL Trophy tie against Gillingham at Portman Road on Tuesday 6th October has moved to a 7pm kick-off from 7.45pm.

The Blues will be looking to win their first game in this year’s competition when the Gills visit having lost 2-1 to Arsenal’s U21s earlier this month.

Gillingham beat Crawley Town by the same scoreline at the Priestfield Stadium in their opening match in the tournament.

The match will be available to watch live on iFollow Ipswich.

Even more evidence of what a reserve game this is. Hopefully we'll be out of this joke competition that the Premier League's ruined by 9pm then...

Yet another cheery, positive comment from a Town "fan"..... hehe

Nothing to do with my love for Town. I find it demeaning and insulting that our first team is compelled to provide practice for the big brands so they can hoard all the best young talent.

I formerly loved this competition as it gave a chance for lower league clubs to achieve a small amount of success and have been to many games over the years including the final before the travesty it became in 2016. But even that can't be allowed by the powers that be that want us all to support six clubs so it's easier to advertise and monopolise. As such i'm afraid I can no longer respect it as a legitimate competition and I think any proper Town fan ought to feel the same.

At least Lambo doesn't even bother giving interviews about it.
