Ireland's European Championships qualifier in Russia is no longer being threatened by smoke from the fires around the Moscow area.

The match is being played at the Locomotiv Stadium on the same side of the city as the fires, however, when the Irish trained yesterday there were no problems with smog.

According to reports German and Danish clubs will be keeping an eye on Amir Karic as he lines up for Slovenia in their European Championships qualifier at home to Malta today.
