Poor goalkeeping for the first, not sure why Walton went initially to his right as the shot didn't look like it was deflected and as for Edmundson's pass back! You would have thought we had a fair share of the game going by the highlights but it wasn't really the case.

Number 11 must love playing against Edmunson, first half example on 45 sec just before woolf loses the ball, Edmunson is jogging back ball watching perfectly happy to let his man wander ahead unmarked, again first goal, ball watching with Woolf , not marking anyone....just playing scorer onside. Then gifts him the goal even though he's aware he's there.

Anyway last two games rest of team were just the same as under Cook, ok when given space...... but dwelling on the ball, square & back, no give & go when pressed.

Seems certain KM will be assessing the footballing nous and intelligence amongst the group ,and deciding who can ‘think better ‘ & ‘focus more ‘ OR who is twopence short of a shilling !
This may lead to some interesting rearrangements of personnel ; but the evidence is that there's too much really sloppy thinking and lack of intensity !
We shall undoubtedly see ,but undoubtedly also KM and Co will reserve the critical comments for behind closed doors confidential situations !
Much yet to come !

Yeah...first goal more or less 5 of our players in the box and the only player to get on the rebound is a Bolton player (unmarked) - too much ball watching.

TimmyH - I think the first goal did take a slight deflection, and Walton did pretty well to keep it out - yes, ideally he would have pushed it to the side, but think he did well to get to it in the first place. Second goal mmmmm, but Edmonson has been very good this season up until that one.

Looks like Edmundson didn't connect with the ball properly so not enough power rather than regular incompetence - one of those things - so I'll forgive him as he's been a rock most of the season. He'll learn from that, unlike some of our past players.
Walton I don't think could have done much more and did well to get at it like he did.
The hand raisers in blue shirts in front of him not protecting him will be tackled by Kieran in training I'm sure.
Tempo seemed to be much higher and sharper so could have gone our way so I think the score line flattered Bolton a little who took their chances. Was fine margins for the rest of the game and plenty of positives which is better than many we've played in the near past.
