No New Knocks as Camara and Burgess Make Progress Thursday, 6th Oct 2022 14:43 Town boss Kieran McKenna says the Blues suffered no new injuries during the back-to-back home wins against Portsmouth and Cambridge United and says midfielder Panutche Camara and central defender Cameron Burgess are making good progress from their injuries. McKenna says no new knocks have been picked up over the course of the last couple of games after a spell in which injuries were coming regularly. “No fractures this week, so that’s a bonus and everyone is fine from the last two games and ready to go.” Camara, who joined the Blues from Plymouth on deadline day, is yet to make his debut having signed with a groin problem but McKenna says the Guinea-Bissau international will join in with the squad in the days to come. “Hopefully next week he’ll be able to train with the squad fully at some point,” he said. “So that’s going to be a real boost for us.” Centre-half Burgess underwent surgery for a facial injury sustained in the game against Bristol Rovers but is also making progress. “He’s doing very well,” McKenna added. “He’s out on the grass now, he’s running, he’s doing ball work, he’s not feeling any ill effects, so I think another week and then he can get a mask fitted and start to join in with some different little bits of training and everything’s on track.” Also currently sidelined are Greg Leigh (compression fracture to his leg), Gassan Ahadme (ankle) and Sone Aluko (knee).
