Blues youngster Corrie Ndaba has joined Scottish Premiership Kilmarnock on loan for the 2023/24 season.

The 23-year-old centre-half, who is contracted to Town until the summer of 2025, spent the first half of last season on loan at Burton before joining Fleetwood on a similar basis in January.

The Irish U21 call-up, who has also had stints on loan at Hemel Hempstead, Chelmsford, Ayr United and Salford, has made four starts and one sub appearance for the Blues, all in cup competitions.

Gforce added 18:20 - Jun 22 Next season Is probably the last chance saloon for Ndaba. Personally I don't think he is quite good enough, for what we need,at this stage of our journey,but wish him well at Kilmarnock and beyond.

Monkey_Blue added 18:58 - Jun 22 Whenever Ndaba has actually played for loan clubs he's impressed. Injuries seem to have messed up so many periods of his loan spells. I am still hopeful there is a CB in there that can have a Town career.

The time for Corrie to have been given a proper run in the side was 3 years ago; hard to see how you go from Scottish Prem to Championship now. Shame if we are just going through the motions as definitely a capable player just never been the right time it seems.

Fat_Boy_Tim added 19:13 - Jun 22 Um, Harry Clark 22 from Hibs to Stoke in the Championship to us and here we are in the Championship. I don't see why another one of our own can't do the same. Good luck Corrie, I'm sure you'll enjoy 4 matches against the old firm and get toughened up by the whole process.

Linkboy13 added 20:20 - Jun 22 The club is moving on unfortunately our academy is not with so called talented youngsters going out on loan to lower league clubs and even non league. Im old enough to remember in the Robson era when we produced players good enough for the first team and even went on to play for England.

PhilTWTD added 20:56 - Jun 22 That is a fair point regarding his age. His career feels like it's still at the youngster stage even if he's 23. You could probably say the same about Nathan Broadhead in his latter period at Everton before he joined us and he's now 25.

Radlett_blue added 21:15 - Jun 22 Ndaba apparently did quite well at Salford in 2021/22 but failed to make an impression at Fleetwood or Burton last season so at aged 23 he really needs to be making his mark somewhere if he's going to have a professional career.

ringwoodblue added 11:11 - Jun 23 I wish him well but I'm afraid I can't see a future for Corrie at Town. If he was going out on loan to a top League One side then possibly but Kilmarnock doesn't strike me as being a great opportunity to prove he is good enough to challenge for a first-team place in the Championship or higher with Town.
