Muric: Just Lies and Things That Were Made Up Thursday, 12th Sep 2024 20:56 Blues keeper Aro Muric has added to his earlier comments on his weekend expulsion from the Kosovo squad for rule-breaking.
On Sunday, the FKK, the Kosovan FA, announced that Muric, Lille’s Edon Zhegrova and Freiburg’s Florent Muslija had been dismissed from the squad ahead of Monday’s game against Cyprus in Nicosia for breaking rules set by the federation and manager Franco Foda.
It was reported that the trio had stayed out too late in a nightclubs, a claim Muric disputed.
Now, speaking to Telegraki, Muric has outlined his version of events more precisely.
“We had the day off on Saturday and went for food and to get some fresh air since we were always in a closed hotel. The rest was just lies and things that were made up,” he said.
The matter may not rest as it is with the executive committee of the FKK, the Kosovan FA, set to discuss further action against Muric and his two teammates.
Regardless of the current furore, the 25-year-old says playing for Kosovo remains important to him.
“I have been a part of Kosovo for six years and will be for the rest of my life,” he added. “It doesn't matter what decision is made in the future, I play for Kosovo with all my heart and I always will when I am invited. Play for the fans who are supporting us and for what they have given us all along.
“I am very grateful for these six years, so no relationship with the coaches or anyone in the federation will make me think differently. It doesn't matter what happens, I will always be there for Kosovo whenever my help is requested.”
As per manager Kieran McKenna’s comments earlier today, Muric says Town have been supportive - “The reception at the club was very positive” - and is settling into life at Portman Road.
“I see my transfer to Ipswich as positive,” he said. “I made the right choice, as I have wonderful people around me and I am very happy to be at this club.
“My objective is to reach my best level to help the club win every game we can and to influence every minute I play for both the club and the national team.”

Time for his goalkeeping abilities to do the talking!

Why would the international coach want to send home 3 players out of his squad, it doesn't make any sense to me? I guess that's any future call ups out the window now, so he can focus on Town and the PL.

ArnieM, none of us now what went on, so I guess we just give him the benefit of the doubt. You ask why a coach would send home players, but ego can be a massive part. I am thinking of when Glen Hoddle managed England and left out players who did not take his faith healer/Phycologist (Eileen Drewery) seriously. Ray Parlour. Gazza, Phil Neville plus others, all dumped because of clashes with the boss.

If he was in a night club he would have been seen by many people. He is quite distinctive! No one has said they saw him. If it were true he would be making a fool of himself denying it.

hmmm...what about the photo of him literally in the nightclub that was published when this story broke. He's a bad egg and not a very good goalkeeper either.

Let's at least give the guy a chance performance wise. Don't care about this international nonsense. I'm sure he will be starting tomorrow as he has been purchased as our number 1. So do your talking on the pitch Aro and no more mistakes please.

Apart from one boo boo against Man City what else has he done wrong, Davis has made more mistakes than him.

Why do people want to get on the lads back? He's our goalie and its in our interest for him to be happy and perform well for us. I do hope he's not going to become a target for the fans this season...

Blueboyd. What are you on about? There was no photo of him in a nightclub. And even if there had been, how would you know when or where that picture was taken? Yet another so called fan judging his ability on 2 errors on his debut. So no doubt you wwre alaggimg Walton off after his debut when he,conceded 5 goals, and was at fault for 3 of them.

Muric and his two team mates broke the rules by leaving the hotel then. Seems harsh to me to confine the players to the hotel on their day off but may be it was to help the squad to bond and control what they eat and drink. They broke the rules though. End of.

"Let's at least give the guy a chance performance wise" We did and he was terrible, 2 massive errors. He had his chance and he BLEW it. If you started a new job, crashed the rep mobile on your first day, made one trivial sale and then got arrested for drunk and disorderly on Friday night (with your name and employer all over the internet reporting on it) I doubt many people at your new employer would be crying "give him a chance to prove himself" In Walton's last 3 games he has let in 6 goals. 4 of those were against Wimbledon and Maidstone.... Come back Hladky , all is forgiven..... We are in a bind. I would play Walton and hope for the best. He did OK against Liverpool. Otherwise Slicker can get his chance. But flap around, make yourself look like a right div against Man City, get sent home from international duty and be a massive liability within the first 3 weeks of the season. I'd say thats a lose, a bad buy, a huge mistake and we should cut out losses and send him packing.

I don't see tacky stories like this, about Burns, or Chaplin or Walton or good clean and wholesome Kiefer Moore (should have signed him). This guy doesn't seem like a good fit for this club. I think after Hladky talks went sour the usual player profile filtering was abandoned out of desperation "Burnley goalkeeper Arijanet Muric splashes £32,000 on a nightclub bar bill - and tips £8,800 to his group's glamorous waitress - as he celebrates their incredible season... days before they were promoted!" https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-11994387/Burnley-keeper-celeb

Several binners on here, pretending to be Ipswich fans. Cant take some of the comments any other way...

I despair at some of the woke happy clapper blue tinted glasses on here who can't see the wood for the trees and can't have a debate without writing off those with views that don't align with their own extreme viewpoints as "binners" (whatever that means). I strongly suspect they are trolls or Muric's mummy

He has been nominated for save of the month so can't be all bad and KmK has faith in him.

My Lord SoCalledTownFan, at least give the guy a chance to fail before condemning him, a joke of a rant by you based on 2 mistakes v Man City.
BlibbiBlob1976 added 10:15 - Sep 14
I agree with the negative comments here. Hopefully we are all wrong about him, but getting rid of Hladky for this guy looks a bad move to me at this point in time.
