Saturday, 7th Dec 2024 12:06

Ipswich Town Women’s Adobe Women’s FA Cup third round tie against AFC Bournemouth on Sunday afternoon at the Martello Ground, Felixstowe has been postponed due to the heavy rain.

The Blues and Cherries were set to meet with a 1pm kick-off ahead of the men’s teams facing one another at Portman Road at 2pm.

The tie will now be played next Sunday, also with a 1pm kick-off with the top-of-the-table FAWNL Southern Premier Division clash at Hashtag United now set to be rescheduled.

Meanwhile, Town keeper Natalia Negri picked up the She’s A Baller’s Baller of the Round award for her penalty shootout saves against Hashtag in round two of the FA Cup, the Blues having won 4-1 on spot-kicks following a 2-2 draw.

Excellent. It should not have been scheduled to clash with the men's game to start with.

Bournemouth are top of the Division One South West (a league below us), having won all nine of their matches.
