Muric Linked With Serie A Move Wednesday, 9th Jul 2025 12:58 Serie A new boys Sassuolo are reported to have made a bid for Blues keeper Aro Muric with Ligue 1 AS Monaco also said to be interested in the Kosovo international.
Muric endured a tough first season at Portman Road having signed from Burnley for £8 million plus £2 million in add-ons in July last year and his exit is widely anticipated this summer.
According to German journalist Dominik Schneider from Fussball Transfers, Serie B champions Sassuolo have made an offer for the 26-year-old with AS Monaco, who finished third in Ligue 1 last season, also keen.
Muric’s 2024/25 was ended prematurely by a shoulder injury which required surgery and the one-time Manchester City youngster has not been involved training with the other keepers in pre-season footage released by the club, although has been spotted in photos since the return to training at the end of last week.

Sorry but I think it's best all round if he leaves. I've heard a number of rumours that's he's very unhappy in the area. He hasn't looked happy for months. Yes he played very well away at Brighton, but it's not worked out since. Let's wish him the best and move on.

You know, I think we should sell him to a Serie A club, but let's get a couple of pre-season friendlies thrown in as part of the deal. Yes that should work just fine.

Agree with Blue Moolay - no-one set off on this transfer wanting it to fail but it's not worked out. I really didn't like how fans would get on this back (as if this would help him improve...) but it overall seems like a bad fit for everyone. Best of luck to him, if/when he goes.

Snap their hands off, don't play hardball ffs. Any fee we get for him has got to be a positive.

Fresh start needed for him, I don't think there's any way back for him here. Good luck to the lad.

His unpredictable decisions didn't go down well with the defenders in front of him from what ive heard from one of the coaching staff so under pressure McKenna had to leave him out after probably playing him for too long.

Lightningboy. So we have a psychic at the club, do we? Some1 whod know if he communicates well or not? And anyway, always makes me laugh how fans say he didn't communicate? Just bcse he didnt wave his arms about or point, doesnt mean he didn't communicate. None of us know whether he talked or not bcse u cant see that when we're behind him. As for saying the defence had no confidence in him? Maybe thats right. Or maybe the problem was he had no confidence in them. End of the day, none of us actually know. Hope wherever he goes, assuming he does, that he smashes it.

Of course it was all the fans’ faults that Muric was so inept. All the naughty fans turning on him and making him into a terrible player! Nothing to do with his completely abject caught-in-the-headlights performances that cost us at least 6-8 points and the fact he has been a brain dead liability at every single club he has played at.

blues1 added 16:32 - Jul 9 "None of us know whether he talked or not bcse u cant see that when we're behind him". Blues1 I don't know the last time that you went to Portman Road but there are now 4 stands; a North, East, South and West stand. Only 1 stand is behind him. If he is standing in front of the North stand, only the North stand is behind him. If he is standing in front of the South stand, only the South stand is behind him. Stop trying to gaslight people. He is a sh1te keeper and all that have been to Portman Road know it.

We saw him in the friendly against Fortuna and thought uh oh ! And our concerns unfortunately approved to be right. I even met a Kosovon bartender in Florida ( at the start of the season) who tried to convince me otherwise ( a free night of craft ale was the result) but after the howler against Brentford I am afraid there was no coming back. Good luck Aro, it just makes me sad that rather than helping , last season he only added to the pain ( by and large!)

If we could even get £1 for him that would be a great result and great work by Mark Ashton.

I can't believe (still) that we let Hladky go, his playing out with his feet was excellent and he did us well in the Championship. It's interesting the blame being given on here, when the real blame should go on our scouting ability, the Burnley fans warned us when we signed Muric and they weren't wrong. Good goalkeepers are worth their weight in gold. We need a new number 1 who can give the defence confidence, Muric sadly (after a poor start) didn't get that. I wish the guy well, but it appears the Teddy has been well thrown out of the pram, making it impossible for him to stay.

Everybody who is saying he added to our problems. Stats, he made mistakes that led to goals but he got us way more points per game than our other keepers and kept out more shots, commanded his box on crosses.
Monkey_Blue added 16:18 - Jul 10
His errors were high profile but his pluses such as how commanding he is with high balls and how Much better he is on the floor than our other keepers is ignored. If we can recoup most if not all we Paid I’d say do it, but I have a feeling he will end up being a top top keeper and one we couldn’t attract or afford in the next few years.
