Striker Eze Joins Hashtag On Loan
Monday, 30th Mar 2026 11:48

Town youngster Nelson Eze has joined Hashtag United on loan for the remainder of the season.

The 6ft 6in tall striker came on as a half-time sub as the Tags, who have asked to be relegated from the Isthmian League Premier Division this season, were thrashed 7-0 by Dartford on Saturday, the score already 5-0 at the break.

The 18-year-old previously had a spell on loan with the Darts earlier in the season, having featured for the Blues’ U18s and U21s during the campaign.

Eze signed a three-year pro deal with the Blues last December having joined the club as an U16 from Norwich City.

Saw Eze play against Hashtag and he looks like a very good prospect. Nice skills plus will be a real threat in the box when he grows into his frame

When players go out on loan to teams of this standard it doesn't bide well for the future . Our last two decent players from the academy were Wolfenden and Downes and they started their development at National league level.

Linkboy13 10 that’s TEN academy international call ups this past week. We’ve literally only JUST become cat one so won’t reap the benefits right now but the future is definitely brighter if you look further down and the fact the club have brought in some decent young players to develop most notably our under 21’s now playing against big premier league teams this season competing for that title win their game in hand and go above teams like Man City, Norwich, Liverpool and Arsenal into 3rd. Not sure why you’re chatting doom and gloom when you think city and Chelsea are two teams we brought from last year and sold on for profit

As mentioned earlier .. he’s gone to a club that’s asking to be voluntarily relegated.
I’m not sure if this is a good sign or not,I know it’s not a serious club no matter how much “cool” people may try and paint them that way.
I really wonder if the training he’ll receive or even the match time is going to be relevant at all in his development.
