Maeda Star of New Season's First Call Me Ted Poster
Friday, 21st Aug 2026 10:10

Daizen Maeda is the star of the first Call Me Ted poster of the 2026/27 season for Saturday’s opening Premier League fixture against Sunderland.

The brainchild of brothers Richard and Steve Haugh, and friends Kevin Bennett and Andy Mortimer, Call Me Ted released unique posters by local artists for every home match in the last Premier League campaign which appeared in the programme for the relevant game, as well as one for the home Norwich derby last season and a special warm-up shirt for the Foundation Fixture in March.

“It’s an absolute thrill to showcase our first poster for the new season, brought to you by Eddy Rosas,” the collective writes on their website.

“Eddy is the first of 19 artists we’ll be working with this season, as we create 19 matchday posters for Ipswich’s home games in the Premier League.

“The Colombian artist has a unique style - it’s playful and vibrant - and we love what he’s done for us.”

Rosas added: “The poster is centred around Daizen Maeda, the player who represents the biggest hope for the upcoming season.

“I found it really interesting to connect Japanese culture and visual elements with Ipswich Town.”

A3 prints of the poster are available on the Call Me Ted website here.

they *really* need to make those warm up shirts with Tudor inspired Ipswich background available for sale.

Will they do the right thing and actually put them on the cover of the programs this time? I think that was actually my biggest disappointment of 24/25, they would have made a lovely set if they'd carried on after the first three.

@carlo88, I think that was one of the sponsors who complained.
I love them, they are unique.
Thank you @ Call Me Ted

Should have told the sponsors to b***er off. Program would have sold more copies with the artwork on the cover. I've actually made a Blurb hardback book of them all for posterity!

Very smart, like the " Asahi " touch creeping in near bottom right. Never had it though!
