![]() Thursday, 13th Jul 2006 16:07 Talks regarding Darren Currie's proposed transfer to Leeds are still ongoing, according to Town manager Jim Magilton. The Whites are keen on the 31-year-old winger, whose contract is up at the end of the season, while the Blues are interested in a possible swap deal involving 22-year-old left-back or centre-half Dan Harding. Magilton said: "It's still an ongoing thing and I stress that Leeds approached us, we didn't approach them. "If they want to talk business then they can talk business, but I don't want Darren to become unsettled. "He is a fantastic asset to us and we will treat him as we always have done and that is very well. He will continue to play in the pre-season games and we'll play it by ear." Currie, also linked with Hull City and Crystal Palace, was used as a 40th minute substitute on the left wing in last night's 2-0 victory over Galway United. The former Brighton, Barnet and Wycombe man took over from Danny Haynes who was suffering with a slight back problem but nothing serious. French trialist Alexis Bertin was once again impressive and is expected to go on the pre-season tour of Holland and Belgium next week, despite turning his ankle prior to being replaced by manager Jim Magilton during the second half.
