I don’t get what has happened to this event. There doesn’t seem to be any elite/pro men’s race at all any more. [Post edited 27 May 22:19]

I was always under the impression that this format was shelved in the late 1980's due to the sheer volatility of a game where a second division team could relegate a first division team and all the potential violence that could surround it. |

Totally agree - with the stoppage in added time there is no way that whistle should have gone before 96:30 Incredibly unlikely but not beyond the realms of possibility Villa could have got the ball back and scored. Seems odd that after checking VAR for everything no one seems bothered about this. |

The last time that ship was boarding in Ipswich would have been when Sealink were still in operation ! |

It seems the precedent would lean to not prosecuting people entering the pitch after play has finished which suits 99.9% of football supporters in celebratory pitch invasions. |

Booing is the ultimate form of slacktivism. It basically says I disapprove of you but I can't actually be bothered to do anything about it other than make a silly noise. |

Sorry - nothing forgotten in last month. That was all direct debits and cash withdrawals on my bank account including credit card bill and broadband. |

My car insurance is less than £200 per year. My water bill was £131 in March although I can't quite remember if that was for 6 months or 3 months. My petrol is quite low to be fair as my work is only about 10 minutes drive away. [Post edited 11 May 16:29]

Definitely gas, electric, food, alcohol, petrol, council tax, clothes, toiletries, bus travel to ITFC and season ticket. Didn't include car insurance and water as I don't pay them monthly. I eat quite well actually. I obviously need to up my spending on takeaways and entertainment though. [Post edited 11 May 15:05]

I think that must be before paying mortgage/rent. I'm a single working person and I could get by on £140.00 a week after paying my rent. For example last month after rent I spent £520.00 on all other bills including my season ticket. I also own and run a car. [Post edited 11 May 13:30]

That toilet has barely got a mark on him other than falling over. He’ll be fine to fight another day. |

Stupid and dangerous idea. I drove my 19 year old VW Polo to the end of it's MOT last year and scrapped it after that. Whilst the annual MOT is annoying there is no way my car would have been safe on the road for another full year with nothing checked. |

In my parallel universe Roy Keane pulls out at the last minute and in a bit of a panic we appoint a largely unknown Eddie Howe from League Two who did a great job saving Bournemouth from relegation. [Post edited 22 Apr 16:23]

Did Robespierre say this before or after he started having thousands of people murdered ? |

I'm looking forward to tonight. When you can no longer get promotion yourself the next best thing for me is trying to wreck it for someone else. |
 | Forum Reply | Quick sobering stat on McKenna record and the difficulty of this league… at 15:39 17 Apr 2022
Another very sobering fact is that we have now failed to make the play-offs in any of our first three seasons. I’ve checked and I’m confident that this is a new low for a club of our size at this level since 2000. That includes Leeds, Sunderland, Nottm Forest, Sheff Wed, Sheff Utd, Charlton, Leicester, Wolves, Southampton, QPR and Norwich. The only slight exception is Portsmouth who finished bottom but were in administration. |
