They don't describe half of whats going on. It took them about 3 overs earlier to update us on what the score was.

It really is dreadful, isn't it. I tried listening to some of the NZ test, but it's just non informative, dry drivel. Little of that gentle humour and in-depth knowledge. Hours could just breeze comfortingly away with TMS. With Talksport my teeth are on edge and minutes seem like hours. |  |

I think you've nailed it with "non-informative", you just don't know what going on.
With TMS they talk utter nonsense, (which is one reason i love it), but at the same time you know exactly what's going on | |

Are we sure we're not describing current style TMS here?
Maybe Vaughans absence has lowered the bantz quotient, but its a shadow of its former ball by ball coverage eras imo. There was a T20 Natwest blast game few years back wher Daggers and Rainford Brent did not mention the score for the whole innings of one side, instead having fits of laughter about a curry theyd had the night before,and barely describing any of the actual game.
I can't listen to TMS anymore. I'm sure Talksport are just copying that style and I'm sure people view TMS with rose tinted glasses based on its past history and not how it currently is |  | | |
