STOP PRESS - Referee D'Urso fails to award a penalty against ITFC / red card an ITFC player / otherwise spoil Mick McCarthys Barmy Armys fun... On another note, Veseli sounds promising at RB, will be interesting to see how it pans out. |
 | News Comment | Scotland Signs New Barnsley Deal at 03:09:33
Well played Jason. Always looked like a goal scorer, and scored some wonderful goals whilst here -but alas, not quite enough. To be fair though., he was always played as a deep lying strike here, whilst Barnsley play him as an out and out goal scorer... Well done Jason - consummate pro , respected and appreciated by the Blue Army :) |
 | News Comment | Deal for Posh Pair Falls Through at 12:41:03
A good point roytheboy. I can only think that this was done as a due to the time constraints of the imminent transfer deadline. Waste of time money it they turned out to be though... I also thin k that it is a sign of desperation that Jewell broke his usual rule on transfers and mentioned these. He was desperate for some good news regarding transfers (as we all are) but it may have rather backfired. We will see I guess - I still have my fingers crossed that a few deals will be sorted out by midnight on Friday !! The eternal optimist :) |
 | News Comment | Deal for Posh Pair Falls Through at 12:22:49
Absolutely gutted when I heard the news that this deal has probably fallen through.. BUT Do we really want players who are just here for the pay check ,and care little for the vison and values of the club? I can imagine how these deals can break down. Say Boyd is valued at £1M. He is on , say, £8k a week at P'borgh. We offer ,say £11k a week. BUT, his agent informs Boyd that, if he waits a year and leaves for free then any club he moves to can be persuaded to pay the potential transfer fee as an addition to his wages - say spread out over 3 years of his contract. This is good for the club, as they maintain the £1M in their bank rather than having to pay it all out in one go (and earn interest whilst they hold onto it, or parts of it...) - the player then can ask for an additional £7k a week (the £1M spread over the 150 weeks of his 3 year contract. So, Boyd and his agent could well be demanding , say , £18k a week as that is what they say they will receive in 10-12 months time. We, however, have a wage structure and don't want to break it, esp with the Bullard saga fresh in our blue bonces... We also value the player at a fair price (this is why I say £11k - that what I value him at any rate) Anyhoo, just a thought.... |
 | News Comment | Jakupović Linked With Hull Return at 00:48:00
Looked good on the vid links ive seen, although they never show his ability to deal with crosses and command his area - something only watching him play competitive matches. Fingers crossed we get a good No.1 sorted out soon! |

 | News Comment | Town Ban Racist Tweeter at 20:27:52
Well done ITFC for stamping this out. Hope this will act as a wake up call for the young lad and he can mature and move on. As for the naming, im sure Phil would have acted after taking advice. And im fully behind him - it sends a clear message as to how racist abusers will be dealt with in future... Legally a minor is 16 y/o & below , and Phil isn't reporting anything which wasn't readily available in the public domain anyway... Furthermore, |

Interesting that Jewell has decided to mention this, kinda putting pressure on Clegg to get terms agreed... could this be a sign that Jewell realises Clegg needs 'managing' ? Oh to have Sheepshanks back! |

The Daily Mail is the source? Is this the same Daily Mail that is oft referred to as the Daily Hate/ Daily Bile, renowned for the very poor quality of its journalism, for often printing untrue and unverified stories? The same Daily Mail renowned for its , frankly, balmy editorial stance ? The same Daily Mail who sponsored and advocated on behalf of the blackshirts, and still maintains a bigoted and extreme right wing stance? The same Daily Mail that has been lambasted for its lowbrow cobsession with celebrity lifestile and obsession (and destructive nature towards) Pricess Dianan and more recently the Mcanns ? Thought so - in that case, jog on DM !! |
