I don't see why the Government should be doing something about it. They didn't give us Brexit. There was a bunch of goons arguing both sides of the case. The majority of them have disappeared now, counting their winnings of betting against the £. |

Disloyal to the point I should be banished from Portman Road and at least a 5 mile exclusion zone around it? Or sensible. Will be forgotten after the usual mid table (worst of the players still trying) season end. |

My thoughts exactly + how often have we seen so many signings gel that quickly... Anyway, this from Sky Sports Make 'allowable' losses of up to £5m/season (averaged over three seasons) Increase that figure to £35m/year with owner investment (averaged over three seasons) Spread out any transfer costs over a maximum of five years So with owner investment we can make allowable losses of £105M over 3 years. I always liked Brexiteer labour politicians. True anti globalisation. Many have been mentioned already. However, I was wrong, as were my socialist heroes, but I smoked a lot of weed and ran from the police once in Trafalgar Square... l,ook at me. The new gov, all seem OK, earnest types who will undo some of many wrongs. Globalisation has won, there really is no way back. |

Jealous with your times and the various Peruvian bits and bobs. Lets hope we are better than the 50 over version |

Our defence made him look better than he is. A decent ref would have worked him out easily. Their front line was odious |

I wouldn't want us signing him permanently but he's played a role generally quite well. Not always. Big minus with letting the ball out for a corner though, when in a promising position with other players in the box. |
 | Forum Thread | ITFC 78 vs ChatGPT version - who wins? at 18:38 12 Dec 2022
If you live in the lonely world of technology, media and that kind of gubbins like what I do, you may have heard a hullabaloo going around about ChatGPT. Its an artificial intelligence (hmm) tool that will take Google search down so some say. It started out today as a Beta program -ie its not quite ready and working. Anyway I asked it who was the 1978 FA Cup winning side and this is what it came up with... Goalkeeper: Paul Cooper Defenders: John Wark, Kevin Beattie, Allan Hunter, Russell Osman Midfielders: Laurie Sivell, Mick Mills (captain), Robin Turner, Colin Viljoen Forwards: Roger Osborne, David Johnson, Paul Mariner Interesting move from Sir Bobby to try out the diminutive Laurie Sivell in Midfield, where he's with Mick Mills who did play left back and Robin and Colin who didn't... Anyway, without getting all clever clever, like all new tech, its sh*t |

He's not that good in the air and rarely looks like he can win a battle of strength. However rather than discard him because of it (as others have seemed to), those weaknesses should be coached and then he could become a good player. He does seem to be calm (unless he gets outmuscled) and seems to be able to anticipate well and read the game. Build him up and coach him and then he could be a very good player. |

We have long heralded our youth set up. Run by a youth coach with a great reputation. This deserves more than a pissed off, after a terrible game, study. However apart from a smashing array of coloured boots, our graduates can't fight for toffee. Some skills, a look away pass here or there. But not for this league. |

Is it wrong to suggest he is looking a better and better player as the season rolls on? |
 | Forum Thread | Marcus Evans Group and 2nd Lockdown at 08:16 24 Sep 2020
I'm no (investigative) journalist, but it's clear that the Marcus Evans Group will be hit just as badly by the second lockdown as the first. With the Chancellor announcing new Covid packages we might want to keep an eye on what they are doing for events and hospitality sectors as this could have a massive affect on the future of Ipswich Town. Though not all of ME's companies and money is earned through events. It appears to be the majority, so how can he deal with another 6 months - 1 year or more? A quick scoot over to Companies House doesn't reveal much, so wonder if anyone has looked further into this.... |
