Bizarre isn't it? If people wish to get drunk before a match they will get drunk regardless of the restrictions imposed?
Given the fairly good behaviour of the vast majority home and away the past few years these draconian measures seem excessive to deal with what was senseless vandalism by 4 fans last season? |

So there is no Alcohol in the ground, no away pub, 12pm KO on a sunday?
Don't the police realise that this is just going to result in people drinking excessively in the streets or on the train rather than in the ground?
So instead of being able to contain (either in a pub or the away end) where the drunkards are, they will be spread amongst various locations trying to get as tanked up as possible at 10.30am, great work from all Police forces concerned!! lol [Post edited 23 Jan 2019 9:22]

You would of course discount any assumption that we were in the Premier League in the next say 10 years heavily to NPV the income from this stream.
I would say a £1 is extremely expensive if the debt remained too! Given the future cashflows forecast should (at an optimistic level) be set at the championship level then you would basically be discounting a loss back to todays value.
But hey what would I know!lol Definitely very optimistic, and if he is holding out for that, he is a worse businessman than even his fiercest critics accuse him of being and we he will own the club forevermore. |

you realise you can have differing views and have a conversation, I have accepted he may improve, I may be missing something and be completely wrong, You are the one being blinkered (and others) in not addressing my point that I am not sure what type of player he is and whether, at present, we need another player in there who cannot create a chance or be a danger in the opponents box?
I also accept that PL's view is very different from mine, but we cant go through the next 6 months creating 2-3 chances per game and survive? |

Just passion and determination does not win you games. If you only create 2-3 chances per game then you are doomed |

Maybe my post was ill thought out and based on another poor display last night, however if you read some of my other comments I state that I really don't know whether it is a good idea for him to be playing right now in a "see how he develops" way. We need creativity and drive to get into the opponents box, he shows neither of these in any way whatsoever.
Your points are far more articulate than my rant I accept that, but we need to also accept when we have a player who is not good enough, currently, for the situation we find ourselves in..... |

What we really need is some creativity and drive to get at the opponents not just run around a lot.
I fail to understand why you cannot say on this forum that an academy "prospect" is not good enough without people calling for you to "delete your account" and the like. Crazy. |

Maybe I overreacted and was fairly inarticulate, but my point still stands that as a championship footballer I believe he has very few attributes that we currently need. No creativity or drive to get in the oppositions box.
Can we afford to have someone who is largely anonymous for portions of games, I certainly don't think so! |

Not backtracking at all, I don't know what he brings to a midfield 3? Skuse does the dirty work and distributes neatly, chalobah box to box (although v hit and miss), maybe he is just the wrong type of player but in the current role I stand by the point that he looks terribly out of his depth. |

Have we got to be positive about every young academy player, or can we have an opinion that is to the contrary?
My point is I don't really know what type of player he is? He works hard, but I just don't know how effective he is? People really do overreact to posts asking whether a player is good enough to be in our first team.
Luke Hyam was/is a terrible midfielder who tries hard, the rest I have never slated at all. You must know more than me Joe as you have obviously have superior superfan knowledge. |

Has anyone ever seen Downes and Hyam in the same room? Another "one of our own" who is utter rubbish. Don't understand what he brings to our first team apart from running around a lot?
happy to be educated here, he just seems to drift through games, I accept he is young and in the England set up at his age group, but he shows nothing to me that he should be in a matchday 18. |

Spence - already been covered but why cant he keep the ball on the pitch when passing down the line? Awful
Pennington - Turns like a barge, ball watches too much
Chambers - Awkward, lacks pace and ability on the ball
Downes - I seriously have no idea what he does, a downgraded version of luke hyam
Roberts - Not his fault, tries hard, not a striker but says a lot about Jackson's ability, which, in my opinion, is non-existent.
Jackson - As above- not even league 1 standard, makes aimless runs, cant hold the ball up, non presence, no heading ability.
Sad situation but if we were to somehow pick some points up until January we would need at least 4-5 players to have a chance of survival.
That all being said, our lack of creativity is our main weakness going forwards as we have no one who can consistently find a pass to unlock a defence. I fear last night we will look back at as the night we went down. |

Just finished my first season! Side has mainly been:
Bart
Spence Nsiala Chambers Knudsen
Nolan Skuse Allan (Hibs)
Edwards Morgan (Celtic)
Sorloth (Palace Loan)
Won the league with 83 points, a good haul playing skuse in front of back four, two wingers in Morgan and Edwards and Sorloth is a beast up front, no idea how I got him on loan for half a season, 13 goals for me!
Now how to stay up with £35m to spend......hmmmmmm |

Anyone managed to get ITFC up in the first couple of seasons on the new football manager, I am having a hell of a run, but the small squad and small budget is quite a challenge!

Nail on the head when it comes to Jackson, he makes poor runs, lacks physicality and is worse in the air. His pace to get a free kick was impressive, but that alone doesn't cut it at Champ level I am afraid.
Agree with Joe, look forward to seeing what Harrison can do, but we really are clutching at straws until January I fear with no potent goal threat.
