 | Forum Thread | Govt U-turns at 10:25 4 Jan 2021
Shouldn't these be applauded rather than scorned. Politicians (and others) get slated for changing their mind/U-turning, but surely they should be applauded for it. Its a good thing isn't it? Sticking to your guns, when facts show you may we wrong, deserves a slating, but u-turning doesn't. We need a big change in attitude generally, I had thought that Covid may help that along, but I'm not sure it will. Too many people still trying to score points at the expense of others and too many people, especially in the media, still slanting things towards their own particular end. |

 | Forum Thread | Respect for Marcus Rashford at 10:14 16 Jun 2020
Seems a nice, genuine fella, making very good points - I wish him and his causes well. Just a couple of things - we do not know the circumstances but I wonder why his mum had 5 children that she could not afford, surely she'd have worked out after 2 or 3 that she couldn't afford any more. Many of us stopped having kids when we worked out how difficult it would be to bring them all up. The other thing - he tweeted about people having their water disconnected - but apparently that is impossible. As I said I wish him well, but these two things just jumped out at me. |
 | Forum Thread | He wont walk out of a 5-year contract at 16:36 25 Feb 2020
Why would he? Hopefully theres a clause in there that lets us get rid of him if we dont get promoted, otherwise I suspect we are stuck with him. |

It was/is there for the taking, but Corbyn is simply unelectable. Far too much of a risk, economically and security so it looks like its going to be the Tories again, largely due to the lack of a viable alternative. |
 | Forum Thread | Wycombe were bang average last night at 10:30 27 Nov 2019
Well organised and hard working but nothing special at all. Thought their centre back had a good game and Akinfenwa was a handful but they hooked the ball out of play several times and hardly strung any passes together. Hard to beat esp when they set up for a draw with the hope of nicking a win, as they did last night, but generally distinctly average. |

A 24 year old woman and a 28 year old man have been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter. Bizarrely that is the same age (and sex) as the two adults who escaped the blaze. You couldnt make it up. |
