Sadly they are unlikely to pay at all, maybe a slapped wrist. There are loads of loopholes in the current legislation. I witnessed a hunt in Norfolk 'cubbing' late last year quite openly. If that's not hunting with hounds I don't know what is. They do it to train young hounds to kill.
Sadly money talks, another disgrace is the numbers of our rarest birds of prey killed on northern grouse moors. Species like hen harriers, even golden eagles. Not enough prosecutions are being followed through even when photographic evidence exists. [Post edited 11 Jan 2018 10:22]
