A little more information might be helpful to the right poster!
Your car; what colour is it?
Seriously; type, make, model, year.
If you're short regarding tyres you could consider 'part worn' but tbh if you can find a place that supplies new budget tyres I'd go with that. Around £40 a piece fitted.
Brake pads are not expensive. At all.
As for the 'cat' - that can be quite expensive stuff, no? Get quotes. A few.
The other bits are nothing and can be sorted anywhere but the cat could be costly. Do find out exactly what the issue is and if it is repairable or if it must be replaced. Don't take anyone's word for it. If it sounds silly money then it possibly is.

Alright calm down. I don’t know what you are getting at saying ‘you have no idea of someone’s circumtnaces’. I’ve not judged his ‘circumsrnaces’ as there is none to judge on the post. No location anything like that as mentioned before, just look in the paper instead of wasting peoples time on here for the sake of it.

Cat could be expensive. Brake pads should be done in pairs as do discs. Don’t buy cheapo tyres, buy mid range. Toyos are good mid range, owned by Michelin. Use ATS or Kwik Fit as they should be very capable. But call around first. I was in the trade. But not in Ipswich area tho. |  | | |
